Capcom: Ace Attorney series will not be stopping

One could say that the Ace Attorney series has seen a slight resurgence over the past few years. Capcom shipped Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy on Switch in 2019, followed by The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles in 2021 (which were localized for the first time). Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy is also coming out very soon.

The good news is that Capcom won’t be abandoning the Ace Attorney series anytime soon. In an interview with 4Gamer, Kenichi Hashimoto – who most recently served as producer for the Apollo Justice re-release – said that the franchise “won’t be stopping”.

Below are Hashimoto’s full words when asked about future developments (translated by Nintendo Everything):

“At this time there is nothing to talk about, but we have gained a lot of knowledge about the RE Engine. I can say that the Ace Attorney series will not be stopping, so in that sense I think you can look forward to what is coming.”

Another interesting tidbit from the interview is that Hashimoto said Ace Attorney seems to “have lots of fans in their late teens and early twenties, especially from North America.” With the Apollo Justice re-release, Capcom “made sure the contents of the game were also something new fans could buy too.”

Capcom COO Haruhiro Tsujimoto previously said that Ace Attorney is “doing exceptionally well” worldwide. You can read more about that here.
