Castlevania: Nocturne debuts in September, first teaser trailer

Castlevania: Nocturne has now received a release date and the first teaser trailer from Netflix.
The new animated show was announced just over a year ago with few details. We mainly found out that it would star Richter, a descendant of the Belmont family.
Netflix reconfirms that information today while also revealing that it will be an origin story with vampires in the French Revolution. The show will offer “an exciting new setting and their highest stakes yet” with a story centering around “love and loss”. Netflix suggests viewers start with this show if they’re not familiar with other Castlevania shows, gaming adaptations, or anime.
Kevin Kolde is acting as showrunner with Clive Bradley as creator / writer. Project 51 Productions is producing with production services provided by Powerhouse Animation.
