Renegade Kid co-founder Jools Watsham has let one small tidbit loose regarding the studio’s new first-person shooter for the 3DS eShop. Watsham tweeted that the game will support a couple of control schemes including the Circle Pad Pro and stylus/touch screen usage.
He wrote:
BTW – the Circle Pad Pro is just one of the control options for our 3DS FPS. The classic stylus control is also supported (my personal fav).

We haven’t seen the new game in action, but that should change in just a few days. The new FPS will be playable at PAX East later this week.

Another Castle not coming to 3DS since its engine isn’t supported
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS eShop, News | 0 comments
Uncade plans to bring Another Castle to the Wii U eShop, but not 3DS. There’s a simple reason: the indie title’s engine isn’t supported on Nintendo’s handheld. That point aside, Uncade’s David Byers believes that developing another version would be a lot to ask for since it’s being made for a bunch of different platforms.
Byers said in a recent interview:
“Unfortunately the game engine I’m using doesn’t support the 3DS. I’m also developing the game for a LOT of different platforms, so adding any more at this point might be too much.”

Yacht Club Games’ ‘Shovel Knight’ could make its way to 3DS/Wii U with Kickstarter support
Posted on 12 years ago by Austin(@NE_Austin) in 3DS, 3DS eShop, News, Podcast Stories, Wii U, Wii U eShop | 0 comments

Looks like MegaMan… Smells like MegaMan… But it’s not MegaMan.
We have heard an almost obscene amount of Kickstarter gaming projects announce their support for Wii U if certain funding goals are met, but today we’ve got one for you from a developer that has recently been in the news:
Yacht Club Games was formed just recently by former members of the studio behind Mighty Switch Force!, WayForward Studios. Their first game will be called Shovel Knight, and it focuses on sidescrolling action, helmed by a knight who wields a “ShovelBlade” to destroy enemies. Sounds pretty decent, right? After all, we know these folks can make a mean platformer.
Initial news was that the game would be for PC only, but the game’s Kickstarter page says that if they hit their fundraising goal of $75,000, the game will make its way to 3DS and Wii U as well. Additionally, you can pledge $15 right now to “reserve” yourself a copy of the game on 3DS or Wii U when it comes out this coming September, so it’s almost like you’re just buying the game in advance!
