3DS

Following up on last week’s 3DS update, Nintendo has sent out a new system patch.

Numerous users had been experiencing issues with the 3DS after attempting to apply the upgrade. System Settings, the eShop, and apparently Game Notes as well were all inaccessible. Applying today’s update will prevent such a problem from happening again.

Official patch notes from Nintendo reads:

Resolves an issue that may prevent access to the System Settings or other features.

Some users received an error during the system update and were then unable to access the System Settings, Nintendo eShop, or Game Notes. This update prevents this from occurring again. If you are currently experiencing this error, please click here for related troubleshooting.

NIS America is a US-centric company, but it has brought over games to Europe before. It will be doing so once again with Etrian Odyssey IV. NIS America announced the title for release in the continent earlier tonight.

Good news: the European launch isn’t far off at all. Etrian Odyssey IV should be out sometime this summer.

Ever since Bravely Default: Flying Fairy was announced for Japan, RPG gamers overseas have been praying for a localization announcement. Thus far, Square Enix hasn’t followed through. But Siliconera’s “trusted sources” say that the 3DS title will, in fact, make it to the west.

No word on when an announcement could be made or when the title would release in North America and Europe. Let’s hope this rumor isn’t inaccurate!
