So, this is incredibly odd. Famitsu has posted its entire data of the latest software/hardware sales in Japan. It usually waits a week before providing any sort of concrete numbers, but not this time! This could be a pretty big change for Famitsu…

Famitsu has brand new details on Monster Hunter 4 in its latest issue. There are a number of interesting tidbits, including a confirmation that the game will have no water segments, news that players can grab on to monsters in some instances, and tidbits about the camera system and base camp.

A summary of information from the magazine has been posted below.

– No water segments
– New elements surrounding Felynes
– New weapons and armor designs
– Weapons are being kept secret for now
– Story will have the larger number of NPCs in series history
– Monsters will make use of the land formations
– Can grab on to monsters under certain conditions (unclear if you can ride them or latch on for attacks)
– Make use of hight differences in the stages to perform jump attacks
– Free camera
– Base camp will move somewhat like a caravan, unlike previous games
– 1-4 players
– Local play support
– Online play isn’t ruled out necessarily
– Ryozo Tsujimoto is producing
– Kaname Fujioka is directing

Namco Bandai is bringing a new Naruto game to the 3DS. The title, roughly translated to Naruto SD Powerful Shippuden, is coming to Japan in Winter 2012.
