Square Enix’s Tetsuya Nomura has said in the past that he’d love to make a sequel to The World Ends with You. Last April, he told Nintendo Power that “when the time is right, I would love to make another installment”. Now that Neku has resurfaced in a new title, Kingdom Hearts 3D, fans believe more than ever that a sequel to The World Ends with You will follow.

Nomura was asked about a sequel in the latest issue of Famitsu. His reply was that, as Andriasang reports, “Neku’s appearance could be taken as notice of something to come, adding that something is being worked on.”

So, when will Square Enix reveal The World Ends with You 2 for 3DS?

Earlier today I strolled into Best Buy eagerly hoping that I would be able to purchase Kirby Mass Attack. What I was told definitely surprised me, to say the least. An employee I spoke with said that the store received two copies. Yes, just two, and they were both taken by the time I made it to the store.

It’s surprising because a) Kirby is a fairly important IP/Nintendo character and b) the location of this Best Buy is in a moderately populated area.

Looking online, I noticed that it’s backordered on BestBuy.com and is out of stock Target.com. Walmart.com isn’t even listing the game. It’s possible that the last couple of retailers simply haven’t received copies yet and will instead change their status later this week. I could also check GameStop (as much as I dislike the store) and see how much (if any) product they have.

It might be too soon to start claiming that there are supply issues for Mass Attack (hence the question mark in the title!). However, the fact that my local Best Buy received such a small amount of copies and is backordered online has me a bit concerned…

The Latest Title In The Harvest Moon Series Is Also Available At Natsume’s New Online Retail Store

Burlingame, CA. – SEPTEMBER 20, 2011- Natsume Inc., a worldwide developer and publisher of family-oriented video games, announced today that Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns has launched for the
Nintendo DS. The game is now available at retail for an MSRP of
$29.99 and is rated E for Everyone by the ESRB.

“We are thrilled that Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns is now available for the Nintendo DS,” said Hiro Maekawa, President and CEO of Natsume. “We’re sure die-hard fans of the series and newcomers alike will love the latest title in the Harvest Moon series!”

This information comes from Kirby Mass Attack director Mari Shirakawa…

“As you know, this is a game in which players are able to directly touch the stage in the lower screen. Of course, that type of control would also be possible on the 3DS, but the game would not end up taking advantage of the three-dimensionality of the upper 3DS screen, which is a defining characteristic of the 3DS hardware. So if we made this game for the 3DS, I think we would be asked, ‘Why did you make this game for the 3DS?’ I think that given the characteristics of Kirby Mass Attack, it’s only natural that it was developed for the DS.”

I can understand this reasoning. And, to be honest, it might be for the best that Mass Attack was made for DS. Now both 3DS and DS owners can experience the title!
