Something tells me that this game wasn’t worth the wait…

“They’re starting to run out of steam now in terms of continuing to be relevant in 2011 and beyond. I mean, you’ve gotta be kidding me. Why would I buy a gaming system without a hard drive in it? How does this thing scale? Motion gaming is cute, but if I can only wave my arms six inches, how does this really feel like I’m doing true accurate motion gaming?” – Sony boss Jack Tretton

Of course, he talks about the DS too:

“Our view of the ‘Game Boy experience’ is that it’s a great babysitting tool, something young kids do on airplanes, but no self-respecting twenty-something is going to be sitting on an airplane with one of those. He’s too old for that.”

Well then Mr. Tretton, I reckon there are a LOT of self disrespecting twenty-somethings out there! Good lord…

April – What’s in store

Now that Autumn is upon us (or Spring, I guess), it’s time for another batch of new Nintendo releases. Those who were disappointed with last month’s lack of Wii titles will be pleased to see that April is full of new games for the motion-controlled console. That doesn’t mean they’re any good, though, as I had to scrape the bottom of the new releases barrel just to find anything worth writing about this month. Yep, April is definitely going to be a slow month if these games are any indication, but don’t let that deter you from reading any further. No, seriously – keep reading!

This information comes from Natsume’s Facebook…

“Today we are revealing an exclusive to you, our most loyal fans. We are happy to announce Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns for the DS *and* 3DS coming later this year! Fill up your watering can and sharpen your hoe, because it’s time for an all-new farming adventure! More details to come in the near future, including some exciting news at E3.”

That’s the only news Natsume has shared about the game thus far, as far as I can tell. I don’t believe the company has even sent out an official press release and screenshots yet. We’ll post any additional news we find about the newest Harvest Moon title, but we may have to wait until E3…
