DS

We’ll be hosting this video just in case it gets taken down. I’m not quite sure why Square Enix didn’t officially release this trailer, especially since it’s been announced, though someone managed to take footage from the trailer at E3.

This information comes from n-Space’s Facebook page

“One parting announcement… at E3 this year Activision and Nintendo announced Goldeneye as a Wii exclusive. Not quite. We’re happy to confirm that a DS version is in the works at n-Space. More on this next week!”

This doesn’t come as a surprise, as there were rumors that n-Space was working on a DS version prior to E3. Also, a logo for a DS version was found on the game’s official website prior to today’s confirmation. Screenshots/footage haven’t been released yet, but stay tuned!

Good news, Shantae fans! It’s been a long time coming, but the next game in the series should be available very soon. The game still needs to be submitted to Nintendo, so it’s unclear when the game will be released or how much it’ll cost. With that said, Risky’s Revenge is now complete and WayForward is hoping we’ll see the game on DSiWare sometime in the next few weeks.

Thanks to Robert for the tip!

Dunaway on the 3DS…

“We love being on the frontier. 3DS certainly is. I feel like it’s amazing. That’s what we hear most people say when they see it, ‘I can’t believe it looks this good!’. …it’s more than just the way they look, it’s the way it changes the gameplay. The fact that all of these developers would be excited about being part of Nintendo 3DS says a lot about what the potential of this hardware really is. (Alex Neuse of Gaijin Games) he is just over the moon on 3DS, and he can’t wait to do Bit.Trip.Runner ideas in 3D.”

Dunaway on the 3DS movies business model…

“We don’t know what the business model is going to be for delivering movie content, but we want people to see that this device is very capable.”

“Tomodachi Collection is something we’re really interested in bringing to the U.S. The problem is that we only built Japanese language generation into the software, and that’s a very important part of the game. We can’t make it work with English, so we won’t be able to release the game here. Obviously I can’t speak to future plans, but this seems like something we might be able to revisit once more powerful hardware comes along.” – Yoshi Sakamoto

Man, that’s really disappointing. I would have loved to play that! I wonder if there’s any possible way they could bring it, or some sort of different version, to the 3DS.
