“We would be delighted to do another game with Mario and Sonic.” – SEGA of America president, Simon Jeffery

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games sold amazingly well…So well that it would not be crazy for both Sega and Nintendo to consider a sequel. However, that’s not to say that the two icons will never tackle other video game genres.

Hm…Shigeru Miyamoto. I’m hoping he’ll run out to the stage wielding another master sword, ready to show off a new Zelda title. Alright, who am I kidding? It’s probably too early for a new Zelda…

With the unique color scheme of black helmet and red visor, the Phazon Suit is awarded after defeating the Omega Pirate. Both Samus’ suit and gun are infected with pure Phazon. This gives the Phazon Suit an ability to protect Samus from the deadly effects of the deadly blue substance and shoot the Phazon Beam when standing in pools of Phazon. Just when Metroid Prime is defeated, the Phazon Suit is stolen and used to create one of Samus’ greatest enemies, Dark Samus!

First 4 Figures is extremely proud to present the ultimate version of the Samus Aran’s Phazon Suit. First 4 Figures has used the official game files in order to create an extremely accurate recreation of the Phazon suit, with pose inspiration taken from official Metroid artwork.

Looks incredibly on its own and really completes a display when put together with the Varia suit and Gravity suit statues.

Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH is promising a stunning line-up of new titles to be unveiled at this year’s Games Convention in Leipzig.

Held in Leipzig’s stunning Convention Centre from August 20th-24th, Games Convention 2008 is set to be Europe’s largest showing of new product. Konami will use the five-day event to showcase a number of new titles for the first time, including PES 2009, Silent Hill Homecoming and a massive area dedicated to the ever-popular DancingStage franchise. Konami will also use the event to unveil a selection of new, unannounced titles for the first time, with regular showings, Q&A sessions, and product demonstrations within a dedicated stage area.

“Konami goes into this year’s Games Convention with a very, very strong line-up that mixes familiar titles with exciting new concepts,” commented Martin Schneider, Sales and Marketing Director Germany for Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH. “This year will see more of the fruits of our excellent European RnD push, in addition to stunning titles from Japan. As such, we feel Konami will deliver one of the most diverse and imaginative product lines-ups of the show, and look forward to unveiling our new titles in Leipzig.”

“(Regarding an online petition for a new Broken Sword, if it’ll come to the DS) I’m going to have to be really boring now and just say that the petition was really inspirational. But I’m really not allowed to say any more than that.” – Charles Cecil, managing director of Revolution Software

Well, we don’t know anything for sure, but it definitely looks like Revolution Software is considering a new Broken Sword title.

‘Tis the season to be jolly? Alright, well, it’s not even close to Christmas right now, but it might as well be if you get the chance to visit Capcom’s E3 booth at E3. Currently, there is an offer up on the company’s blog that will allow you to go for free. There is limited space available, so it would be wise to apply now; Granted, being able to go would be a wonderful experience.

“We’re excited to announce that in the recent months we have decided to reup on our contract with Activision publishing. The recently renegotiated deal may not seem like much of an impact from the outside perspective, but it has laid the ground work and kick started our future project, as well as the possibility of a unique new IP by Infinity Ward, that we’ll have complete control over. We’re excited to be working on our next project, but it’s going to be quite a while before I can share any details on exactly what that project is.” – Infinity Ward website/blog

As is the case in most of these situations, we really have no idea about any possible details about a new Infinity Ward game. Also, this means that the new title could be heading to a Nintendo platform.

A brief post on TecnoSoft’s webpage shows that a new Thunder Force title is coming. No information other than the image posted above is shown, so any details like a timeframe for additional information, general gameplay facts, and system the new game will be releasing for are all conspiciously absent. TechnoSoft has released games in the series for the SNES and PlayStation, so the Wii and PS3 are most likely the best possible candidates for the release of the new Thunder Force game. However, that’s not to say that it’s impossible the title will not release for the 360, and it could very well go multiplatform.

E3 is renowned for surprises and this year looks like the trend will continue. XSeed Games, the company that has worked on titles such as Victorious Boxers: Revolutions and the up and coming Little King’s Story, will have two surprising elements in their E3 lineup, according to Siliconera. The website notes, “They have two things in their E3 lineup you won’t be able to guess, one announcement that floored me…” This bit of information obviously does not mean that the surprises are Nintendo related, but we’re keeping our fingers crossed that XSeed Games will show support for the big N.
