Gaming innovation celebrated at record breaking Golden Joystick Awards

Boom for event as gamers cast 1.2m votes and name Fallout 3 their ultimate game

1500 HRS October 30th 2009 – The video games industry was recognized as the fastest-growing entertainment medium and the UK was acknowledged as a centre of creative excellence today as the winners of the world’s most popular video game awards show, the 27th annual Golden Joystick Awards were announced in London.

Fallout 3 was crowned “Ultimate Game of the Year”, whilst Call of Duty continued its annual winning streak with a hat-trick of accolades.

Nordcurrent release new Wii party title today, distributed through Trilogy.

Friday, October 30th 2009: Nordcurrent, the European publisher of hit DS title 101-in-1 Explosive Megamix, are pleased to announce the official release of new Wii party title 101-in-1 Party Megamix Wii, distributed through Trilogy.

101-in-1 Party Megamix Wii is an entirely new game from the makers of the hit DS title. This isn’t simply a port of the original hit on the DS, it’s an entirely new collection of brand new games that play perfectly to the Wii’s strength – multi-player fun. And gamers can now get their hands on the game through all good software retail outlets.


Nintendo has announced its upcoming lineup of Japanese VC games for November. Included is Metal Gear (note that its the MSX version) and Romancing SaGa, both of which will make an appearance sometime this month. Fire Emblem and Fatal Fury Special will be releasing on November 4.
