So, you think you’re nuts over Zelda? Check out the product description for the latest Zelda book:

“With both young and adult gamers as loyal fans, The Legend of Zelda is one of the most beloved video game series ever created. The contributors to this volume consider the following questions and more: What is the nature of the gamer’s connection to Link? Does Link have a will, or do gamers project their wills onto him? How does the gamer experience the game? Do the rules of logic apply in the game world? How is space created and distributed in Hyrule (the fictional land in which the game takes place)? How does time function? Is Zelda art? Can Hyrule be seen as an ideal society? Can the game be enjoyable without winning? The Legend of Zelda and Philosophy not only appeals to Zelda fans and philosophers but also puts video games on the philosophical map as a serious area of study.”

The Legend of Zelda and Philosophy is scheduled for a November 28th release. Generally speaking, I conserve my video game money to buy…video games, rather than merchandise. However, I don’t think I can pass on this book, mainly because I’m a huge Zelda fan.

This comes from the Capcom-Unity forums per usual..

“Capcom, I’m really pissed right now. I want to play these games, but you give us Wii owners the shaft. No RE5 Wii, possibly no Dead Rising 2, no Lost Planet, no Flock, no Age of Booty, No Street Fighter 4, no Devil May Cry, no Dark Void.”

Which prompted this response…

“We are contemplating versions of one or two of the CEI titles you’ve mentioned on the Wii (not saying which), but we’d like to see how they do on their initial target systems before doubling down on additional SKUs” – Christian Svensson, VP of Strategic Planning & Business Development at Capcom

Obviously, I can’t speak for Capcom, but I would guess that the one or two titles they’re considering could be Street Fighter IV or Resident Evil 5. I just don’t see how Capcom could neglect the Wii audience with Resident Evil 5 after Resident Evil 4 sold well on the GameCube and Wii.

This might be crazy (well, I have to admit that this is a ridiculous idea), but how about a Sonic game that uses the Wii balance board. It’d be pretty hilarious to watch someone running to emulate Sonic’s insane speed. Or, how about some monkey ball action?

It feels verrrrrrry nice to be home right now. That’s not to say that I didn’t enjoy my vacation, but it’s good to go back to what you’re used to. I have to admit, I missed updating the website. Unfortunately, I noticed that there was only one update from Jackson while I was away…And that was it. I openly apologize for that, since I thought Jackson would be able to do at least a few dozen news posts for sure.

Anyway, like I said, I am back and it’s good to be back. I’ll start posting casually for now but will start posting seriously in the next hour or so. Don’t forget, the NPD numbers are today!

Woah, it’s…Valay?! Yep! I’m here in my hotel and saw that there weren’t too many updates…I apologize for that. I’m hoping Jackson will be able to cover more today, but I was actually able to find Internet access and provide some of the more significant news from the past day or so. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to do so again, but I’ll do my best.
