The DSi launched in Japan less than a month ago, but that isn’t stopping Square Enix from announcing a new DSi bundle. Last week the bundle was related to Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, and today it’s for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time. No images of the bundle have been released yet, though you can expect the design to be similar to the typical DSi with an added Echoes of Time logo. The bundle will release for about $250 on January 29th.

Monolith Soft revealed a plethora of details regarding future games. As could be surmised based on sales charts, Disaster: Day of Crisis has not sold very well at all. Nintendo producer Hitoshi Yamagami has stated that the game is “performing lower than expected.”

Still, even with less than stellar sales, Keiichi Ono, Monolith Soft director, isn’t ready to rule out a sequel, even if it were to appear on the DS. “…there were so many wonderful options [in the game]. We would like to see the possibility for them, if we have chance to develop the sequel…[The team] can consider [a DS version] if we have many requests.”

Last but not least, it was confirmed yet again today that Monolith Soft is indeed working on more titles for the Wii and surprisingly, the team is “willing to start developing Baten Kaitos.”

Discover How One of Gaming’s Longest-Running Series Was Made Anew for Nintendo DSTM

As magical as the storied land of Ys is itself, the heritage of this original action RPG franchise spans over two decades and a number of different platforms. Definitive in design, story, and gameplay, the two introductory Books of Ys have long been etched in the memories of hardcore gamers. At a time when few other games attempted such grand scope and scale, Ys delivered on the promise of a sweeping narrative, fast-paced action, and a stunning musical score that to this day still rises to the top of all-time greatest lists.

In early 2008, Books I & II, completely remade for Nintendo DS™, were released in Japan. Separated into individual games, Ys I and Ys II for Nintendo DS introduced a number of new features and innovations to the series canon, including touch screen support and multiplayer for up to four. In bringing the titles to North America, Atlus worked closely with the developer to put both games on a single cartridge, rejoining the two first Books of Ys. Moreover, Atlus is endeavoring to add one more monumental enhancement to the release: an entirely new localization.

People have recently began to complain, understandably, about a glitch that can be found in Tomb Raider: Underworld, which does not allow the player to actually complete the game. Eidos has taken action to solve the problem, but in all honestly, the solution is rather lazy. Unlike many cases, there seems to be no plans to offer consumers a new copy of the game.

Here are Eidos’ suggestions:

It was only a week ago that Nintendo released its latest Wii update, but the homebrew community has been hard at work to allow homebrew activity to continue. This shouldn’t be too surprising considering Nintendo’s past efforts to eliminate homebrew have failed.

WiiBrew has officially launched Twilight Hack 0.1beta2, which is compatible with the newest firmware update (3.4). In future updates, Nintendo will undoubtedly make an effort to block homebrew yet again, but as has been the case with previous instances, the homebrew community will manage to bypass the system again.
