Super Smash Bros. for 3DS screenshot (3/11/2014) – Lumiose City Stage revealed
Posted on 10 years ago by Patrick(@Patricklous) in 3DS, Images, News, Screenshots | 1 Comment
Smash Bros. series director Masahiro Sakurai sure seems to be revealing a lot of 3DS exclusive stages lately. Today’s scheduled update to the Super Smash Bros. Director’s Room on Miiverse showed off a brand new arena – Lumiose City from Pokémon X/Y. It might not have the massive skyscrapers and randomly appearing Pokémon from Saffron City, but it sure beats another Pokémon Stadium. Sakurai had this to say about the new addition:
The Prism Tower rises above Lumiose City. Up until a few seconds ago, the fighters were brawling on top of that tower. No, really.

After strangely selling out about a week ago, Mario Kart 8 is available for pre-order once again on Amazon. You can reserve a copy here.
I’m still not sure why Mario Kart 8 “sold out” in the first place, since we’re not talking about a limited item. Still, all’s well that ends well!
Thanks to Jake for the tip.

Zelda: A Link Between Worlds team never considered using a live orchestra for the game’s music
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 1 Comment
Using a live orchestra for the music in The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds was never up for consideration. Composer Ryo Nagamatsu told ONM this month that doing so wouldn’t have provided suitable sound for the 3DS speakers.
For A Link Between Worlds, Nintendo hoped to appeal to those who play the game with and without headphones. As such, the team wanted “orchestra-quality sounds that had the appropriate reverberation and instrumental arrangement for the Nintendo 3DS speakers.”
