Super Mario 3D World’s playable debut lacked nunchuck support when it came to multiplayer. At E3, people simply couldn’t use the controller add-on while playing with others.

This has been addressed for Super Mario World’s next build, which is on display at Gamescom. According to an EDGE report, it’s now possible to use the nunchuck in multiplayer. You won’t have to worry about controlling characters with the Wiimote’s d-pad any longer!

Nintendo has confirmed that Zelda: Wind Waker HD will ship with two modes. Players will be able to take on either a Normal Mode or Hero Mode.

Hero Mode provides extra challenge. Enemies dish out twice the amount of damage, and hearts will not be available throughout the various environments. Link will only be able to regain health by using potions or visiting faries.

Don’t expect big sales from The Wonderful 101 when the game launches in Japan in a few days.

According to Japanese retail blog Sinobo, Nintendo will ship a measly 30,000 copies of the game. For a new, exclusive, and Nintendo-published release, that’s pretty darn low.

You can definitely say that Nintendo is playing it safe with The Wonderful 101’s initial shipment. If nothing else, the game should see a high sell-through rate.

Plenty of Wii U titles have supported downloadable content. However, indies using the Nintendo Web Framework have been out of luck – until now.

A new version of the tech, announced at GDC Europe earlier today, will provide eCommerce support. This will allow developers to monetize additional items such as DLC.
