It’s unclear at this time if this game will be released for a Nintendo system – or even for any console – but this footage looks pretty legitimate if you ask me.
Rumor: DSi dated and priced for North America
Posted on 15 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in DS, Rumors | 3 Comments
Numerous sources have stated that the DSi, Nintendo’s latest handheld creation, has been given a price point and release date for North America. The system would launch in April at $179.99. The specific date given for release is April 4. Naturally, Nintendo declined to comment. Though this story has been checked with three independent sources, mark this down as a rumor until Nintendo of America officially confirms the news.
Rumor: Kid Icarus was supposed to be at E3 2008, release a few months after
Posted on 15 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Rumors, Wii | 5 Comments
Kid Icarus’ speculated debut on the Wii has gone down a long and winding road. Art of what apparently was a new entry in the series for Wii was leaked quite a few months ago, and rumor after rumor kept piling up. Now word has it that Kid Icarus was scheduled to be present at E3 2008, which isn’t entirely too difficult to believe.
Though, internal problems with Factor 5 – who has been tied to the developed of the new Kid Icarus game – prevented any sort of appearance from happening. Nintendo planned on releasing the title a few months after it was revealed at E3, but that fell through as well. These issues allegedly left Nintendo of America feeling “pretty bummed.”
As of now, the game’s status is in jeopardy considering the trouble that the company has been going through lately. IGN’s Matt Casamassina suggested in the latest Nintendo Voice Chat podcast that the state of Factor 5 could lead Nintendo to purchase the company. Who knows – Perhaps doing so will be the only way that gamers will be able to see Kid Icarus from Factor 5 on the Wii.

Rumor: Pilotwings heading to Wii
Posted on 15 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Rumors, Wii | 1 Comment
Pilotwings may be making a comeback on Wii based on the latest rumors. LiveWii states that a new Pilotwings game will release in the first half in 2009. Balance Board and Mii support are allegedly going to be included in the package. The last Pilotwings title released on the N64, so this would be the perfect time to revitalize the series.
Consider this a rumor for now since there is not anything conclusive that proves this is real. However, Pilotwings on Wii has been rumored to be in development for a long time and has popped up on a few retail listings.
Rumors: Wii Fit 2, Rhythm Heaven 2 on the way, more
Posted on 15 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in DS, Rumors, Wii | 0 comments
These rumors come from Game Lab, a well-known Japanese magazine that have been translated. Keep in mind that these rumors may turn out to be nothing at all.
* The popular RPG series “T” by game company “N” will see several releases in 2009. There are said to be six games in development, both outsourced and within the company, and at least one “T” game will hit every single current gen platform next year.
* Although the DS rhythm game sequel “R” by game company “N” received mixed reviews due to its change of input method from buttons to stylus, it performed so well that “N” has begun developing a Wii version. Staff from this year’s Wii music game “W” are reportedly involved.
* Game company “S” is attempting to headhunt employees from American game company “L” to assist with its virtual online experience, “H”..
* Game company “N” is said to be working on a second iteration of its fitness game, “W”. New features apparently include stretching and massages. A certain former U.S. Army instructor has reportedly been approached about endorsing the game.

The latest rumor is that the new game will be released next year in Japan. Toriyama and Sakaguchi will be heading the project. Blue Dragon Plus 2 apparently features 3D battles with RPG gameplay and the face of the character can be customized to your liking. More details are expected next week.
Rumor: Monster Hunter 3 could go multiplatform
Posted on 15 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Rumors, Wii | 4 Comments
When Monster Hunter 3 was revealed to the public, most were shocked that the game would appear on a Nintendo system. Rather than releasing on the PS3, Capcom had decided to go with the Wii to release the game. However, if the latest rumor is true, Monster Hunter 3 might not be a Wii exclusive after all.
A rough translation of a blurb from a foreign gaming magazine is as follows: “The decision of Monster Hunter 3’s Wii-exclusivity is not yet final.” This bit of information comes from a Capcom representative. The thing is, as was mentioned, the line from the representative is a rough translation. Moreover, we can’t be 100% sure that this rumor is true until Capcom officially confirms/denies the rumor.
Dragon Quest IX heading to Wii along with the DS?
Posted on 15 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in DS, Rumors, Wii | 2 Comments
If the latest rumor from EGM/Quartermann are to be believed, Dragon Quest IX will not only release for the Nintendo DS, but for the Wii as well. The rumor guesses that the mode would work similarly to the Pollux Engine for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time for the Wii/DS. The question is, will there be any graphical change from the DS to Wii?
Here’s the official description of the rumor:
“While Dragon Quest IX being announced for the DS rather than a home console was a big enough surprise in the first place, fans of the long-running series were even more shocked to discover that this latest entry will sport faster-paced gameplay and a surprising MMO-lite option to play with up to four friends. Assuming this multiplayer mode works similarly to the DS-and-Wii-linking Echoes of Time, it makes sense that Square would bring DQIX to the console as well. The only question that remains is whether or not the Wii port will receive a graphical upgrade — the Wii and DS versions of the new Crystal Chronicles are going to be identical, after all. Hopefully Square will confirm this news soon and give us more details.”
EGM says The Crystal Bearers cancelled for Wii – UPDATE
Posted on 16 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Rumors, Wii | 6 Comments
Update: According to Square Enix PR, the game has actually not been canceled! Expect to hear an official statement sometime soon.
One of the rumors in the latest edition of EGM notes that Square Enix is “quietly canceling” Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers for Wii. The Crystal Bearers was one of the first titles announced for Wii, though very little information has been heard over the past few months. The game was also absent from this year’s TGS showing. Square Enix plans on releasing Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time, which may be the company’s way of replacing The Crystal Bearers.
