Japanese 3DS owners are finding the above note from Nintendo president Satoru Iwata in their Swapnote applications today. Iwata is holding a Kirby plushie in the photo. Some people are speculating that there will be a Kirby announcement on the show, but I’m not willing to go that far… yet.

The next Nintendo Direct will be taking place this Saturday. In North America, the broadcoast will be shown on April 20 at 11 PM EST / 8 PM PST. These presentations have been a bimonthly affair for Nintendo since October.

Satoru Iwata will be on hand to share the latest information about the 3DS and Wii. Essentially, you can expect footage, trailers, and other material for Japanese games. We’ll probably see the first trailer for Project X Zone and other upcoming releases.

Keep track of the Nintendo Direct page here. It’s currently unclear if Nintendo of America/Europe will be holding their own presentations.

So uh… not the best lineup around, but maybe Rising Star Games’ lineup will offer more core experiences in the coming years…

Ghostlight will be bringing two Shin Megami Tensei games to Europe. Devil Survivor Overclocked and Devil Survivor 2 are seeing localization for PAL regions. Both titles are without release dates for the time being.

Ghostlight have today announced that they will be releasing their first Nintendo 3DS™ JRPG. Today’s 3DS eShop update includes a new shelf for Kirby. Hidden in the section is an entry for Kirby’s Block Ball, complete with a page listing, trailer, and screenshots. The eShop says that the title is “Coming to the Nintendo eShop”, so I assume we’ll be seeing it on the store sometime within the next few weeks. It’ll cost $2.99 when it launches in North America.
