Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment

The first wave of reviews for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment are now starting to come in. Nintendo just lifted an embargo on the Switch 2 game with the launch happening in just a couple of days.

Age of Imprisonment is the third entry in the Hyrule Warriors series, and the second one tied to the Zelda: Breath of the Wild / Tears of the Kingdom universe. This time around, players can experience the true story of Ganondorf’s invasion that was briefly shown in Tears of the Kingdom. Nintendo has previous said that the plot here is canonical.

Nintendo has come through with the latest update on its release schedule, which is shared for November 2025 via its financial results documents.

This reconfirms what has been previously announced. Titles that were revealed in the most recent Nintendo Direct are included here, including Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave. Every title has a release date or launch year, except for Splatoon Raiders.

As part of its November 2025 financial report, Nintendo has updated its list of million seller games. The latest data is here for the performance of titles on Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch.

Previously, we only had data up through June. Now that the latest report has been released up through September, a big game has been added to the list – which is Donkey Kong Bananza at 3.49 million units.

September 24: Today, Success Corporation and Red Art Games unveiled Psyvariar 3 for Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch. The two sides did not provide launch timing.

Psyvariar 3 celebrates the series’ 25th anniversary. This is actually the first brand-new numbered entry in the series in 22 years.

Today, Konami and ZDT Studio are no longer listing a Nintendo Switch version of Darwin’s Paradox! on any of their websites or trailers, opting for a Switch 2 release instead. The game’s launch window was also pushed back from 2025, to 2026 for all platforms.

The November 2025 retro icons for Nintendo Switch Online just went up, and now Kirby’s Dream Land 3 as well as Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards are featured. These can be found on both Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch.

For both games, you can unlock access to the icons by playing their respective games in the Nintendo Classics apps. But with Kirby 64, you’ll need to be a member of the Expansion Pack tier on Nintendo Switch Online.

September 10: Warframe is planned for release on Nintendo Switch 2. That’s according to Steve Sinclair, CEO of Digital Extremes.

Sinclair was joined by creative director Rebecca Ford in a recent community video. Interestingly, the topic of Nintendo Switch 2 came up. It was confirmed that the team now has Nintendo Switch 2 development kits.

Speaking in that video, Sinclair said:

Nicktoons & The Dice of Destiny released on Nintendo Switch not too long ago, but now a Switch 2 version is happening as well. GameMill will be publishing it on December 5, 2025.

The Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game will feature increased resolution to 1240p and 60 frames per second. There’ll also be improved lighting, particle effects, anti-aliasing, and more. Those who own the Nintendo Switch version can access these enhancements via a free performance update.

The latest UK software sales chart for the week ending November 1, 2025 is now available.

There are a couple of new games this time around, including Dragon Quest 1 & 2 HD-2D Remake which appears at #6. The split was 44 percent for the Nintendo Switch version, 33 percent for PS5, 21 percent for Switch 2, and 3 percent for Xbox.

Also new is Tales of Xillia Remastered, which comes in at #22. The split there was 69 percent for the PS5 version and 31 percent for Nintendo Switch.
