Nintendo has confirmed that Zelda: Wind Waker HD will ship with two modes. Players will be able to take on either a Normal Mode or Hero Mode.

Hero Mode provides extra challenge. Enemies dish out twice the amount of damage, and hearts will not be available throughout the various environments. Link will only be able to regain health by using potions or visiting faries.

Sonic Lost World was playable at Gamescom in the morning on Wednesday, the start of the expo. But strangely, the original demo is now missing in action. It was removed by day’s end and was replaced with the Comic-Con version. For now, it’s not clear why SEGA took down the Gamescom demo.

REDMOND, Wash.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– The Year of Luigi is going strong. So far, Luigi has explored multiple haunted mansions in Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon for Nintendo 3DS, partnered up with his brother in Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, also for Nintendo 3DS, and taken the Wii U downloadable content world by storm in New Super Luigi U. On Aug. 25, New Super Luigi U will be available as a packaged-disc version for Wii U that will be sold in retail stores. The game joins the downloadable version available in the Nintendo eShop on Wii U.

The retail version of New Super Luigi U comes in a unique green case that will look excellent on any game shelf. Fans that purchase the retail version of New Super Luigi U for a suggested retail price of $29.99 do not need to own a copy of New Super Mario Bros. U to play.
