THQ was able to confirm that Darksiders II will be fully playable on the Wii U GamePad. You’ll be able to tackle the entire experience without having to access a television.
THQ additionally confirmed that future DLC will be sold on the Wii U eShop. “The Abyssal Forge” and “The Demon Lord Belial” will both be available sometime following the console’s launch.
Potential Darksiders II Wii U buyers may be interested to know how the title takes advantage of the GamePad. The controller acts as a map as well as an inventory screen that allows for item, armor, and weapon switching on the fly. The developers are also including optional motion-sensing features, giving users the ability to make Death dodge and leap side-to-side by moving the GamePad in the desired direction.

Reggie: Wii U will have lots of games, hardware performance doesn’t impact support

At this point, many of you have probably heard about Wii consoles that have been “collecting dust” due to a lack of interesting games. That has led some to be concerned about the possibility of the same situation happening with Wii U.
Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime tried to put some of these fears to rest while speaking with Kotaku. Reggie addressed the lack of Wii games in the system’s past couple of years, and also talked about the possibility that third-party support could dwindle in the future if the Wii U can’t stack up to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 successors.
We’ve posted the entire conversation below.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate isn’t Capcom’s only Wii U game

Capcom fulfilled two goals this past Thursday. The company finally confirmed that Monster Hunter Tri G would be localized, and also announced its first Wii U game, a separate version of the 3DS Monster Hunter title.
One Capcom-Unity member was curious about support for the console beyond Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. Responding to the inquiry, Corporate Officer/Senior Vice-President Christian Svensson confirmed that there are “other projects in the works”.
Svensson wrote:
“I have to be careful what I say here as it will surely be overanalyzed and misinterpreted to be more than what I’m saying.
“We have other projects in the works beyond MH3 Ultimate. Unfortunately at this time I can not provide any details. I’m sure as someone who is interested in Wii U and a Capcom-Unity.com member, you won’t be able to miss news of future projects when they finally do get announced.”

Wii U pre-orders have been pulled from Toys “R” Us’ site. Although the official page suggests that more stock will open up in the future, that’s not a guarantee.
