SEGA making a new 2D Sonic game, but it’s probably not coming to Wii

I was debating whether or not to post this, since it seems like this game won’t be heading to Wii. Nothing is confirmed yet, but Ken Ballough from SEGA stated in an interview that “You can definitely expect HD graphics.” I’m still hoping that this will head to the Wii, though I wouldn’t count on it at this point.

Red Steel 2 creative director interested in seeing the series on other platforms
Posted on 16 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii | 1 Comment
When comparing Red Steel and its sequel, it’s quite clear that the second title has gone through a massive overhaul. This is, of course, partially a result of the technology behind Wii MotionPlus. But perhaps the series will see another evolution by the time the next game is ready for development. At PAX 2009, Red Steel 2 creative director Jason VandenBerghe made a few remarks about bringing Red Steel to other platforms. Although the decision will ultimately be up to Ubisoft, VandenBerghe seemed thrilled with the idea.
“I will be pushing to make that happen (placing Red Steel on other platforms).”
“I personally would love to see any and all consoles have more sword fighting experiences.”

Archer MacLean: Wheelspin pushing the Wii to its limits

“Well the thing with Rollcage, WipEout, F-Zero as well, they’re all classic, classic games. They, F-Zero and WipEout, had you floating through the scenery, you were just sort of swaying left and right, we’ve got full physics, and we’re pushing the Wii to the limit to make the physics work. We like to think we’ve pretty much got it to the edge, yeah, right to the edge.” – video game creator/Wheelspin developer, Archer MacLean
To be honest, I haven’t been too impressed from what I’ve seen from Wheelspin. However, it still may be an enjoyable title and I’d like to get my hands on the game before making any final judgments.
