7 10 CALL OF JUAREZ: BOUND IN BLOOD TECHLAND UBISOFT UBISOFT

The onset of August means summer is winding down, but the downloadable action at the Wii™ Shop Channel and Nintendo DSi Shop™ just keeps on heating up. Two new WiiWare™ offerings deliver futuristic robot foes and sultry poker opponents, respectively. On the Virtual Console™, there’s great news for football fans as the arcade classic TECMO BOWL™ makes its way to the Wii system. And on Nintendo DSiWare™, you’ll find a fresh addition to the eye-pleasing, mind-bending Art Style™ game series.

– Called Q for now
– Puzzle platformer
– Aimed for WiiWare right now but could head to retailer and maybe other platforms
– Need to locate missing parts of a broken teleporter
– Player/enemies are vector characters
– Not a sequel to Knytt although it could be involved with the same universe
– Standard movement skills for the main character
– Dodge enemies instead of killing them
– Uniforms change throughout the game depending on the environment
– Camera in the game – take down information, capture environments

This information comes from Nintendo Power…

“The variety of locations and the lively actions of the people and monsters that reside there should definitely add an element of surprise, and by playing in such an environment, I think that players will naturally become more cheerful. Some familiar Final Fantasy monsters will also be making appearances, at times as a boss-class enemy, so that’s definitely something fans can look forward to.” – Toshiyuki Itahana, character designer/director

We’ve already seen Cactuars and Chocobos (although they aren’t enemies), which are classic Final Fantasy characters. It should be interesting to see what other monsters make appearances in The Crystal Bearers.

Check out this brief exchange between Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles chief producer Masachika Kawata and the game’s other producer, Kentaro Noguchi. The two were discussing the possibility of developing more Resident Evil “Chronicles” games alongside the main RE titles in an interview with Capcom Europe.

KN: It would be up to Cavia, actually. Do you guys still want to create it?

MK: Yes, there are very attractive contents, therefore we would like to continue to work with that.

There isn’t an official confirmation here, but it does look like there is strong interest in continuing with more “Chronicles” games. Would you guys like to see more of those titles on Wii?
