These words from Red Steel 2 creative director Jason Vandenberghe:

“Being Wii Motionplus exclusive, we really needed the information in the Wii MotionPlus, it’s an amazing device. With the gyroscope we always know which way the Wii remote is pointing. We’re trying to make a game that is the best reason to have a Wii MotionPlus, and really pays off with that experience.”

I can definitely see where Ubisoft is coming from saying this, because Red Steel 2 looks really great so far. I’m hoping that this is the case, because if it is, Red Steel 2 is guaranteed to be one of the number one reasons to own a Wii.

“There will be excellent awareness of the G-Force property this summer with the launch of the action-packed Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures theatrical release. We are positive about G-Force because whilst benefiting from this buzz, the game features a wealth of additional exclusive missions, enemies and gadgets that means the gameplay stands alone and the player can extend their film experience.” – product manager James Thornaby

I’ve read a few previews of the game, and many of them say the game isn’t too shabby. Perhaps it’ll surprise us?

This comes from the ESRB listing for Guitar Hero 5, which (strangely enough) doesn’t contain a mention of a Wii version. Of course, an iteration for Nintendo’s console has already been confirmed, so don’t worry!

Guitar Hero 5

Platform: Windows PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3

Rating: Teen

Content descriptors: Mild Lyrics, Mild Suggestive Themes

Rating summary: This is a music and rhythm simulation game in which players can perform songs using on-screen avatars with various instruments. Players simulate playing guitar, bass, or drums and are scored based on the accuracy of notes hit. Some avatars’ tattoo designs depict women in provocative poses and clothing (e.g., a fantastical succubus with cleavage and panties); a video montage depicts women wearing tight outfits as they pole-dance. Some song lyrics contain expletives (e.g., “damned” and “hell”) or suggestive content (e.g., “I’m so horny,” “He’s gonna do another strip tease,” “Your sex is on fire”). Alcohol and tobacco are also referenced in some songs (e.g., “Wanna get a belly full o’ beer” and “Light me up that cigarette”).

No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle is quite a few months away before releasing, but that doesn’t mean that Suda 51 can’t slip out a new character reveal. The latest Nintendo Power has the goods on new details regarding the game, which includes the news that someone will be returning from the first game…A character that, for those who have played No More Heroes, are probably very familiar with.

Head past the break to see for yourself (possible spoiler alert)!

“…So, a goal of ours with The Grinder is to have a fun 4 player cooperative game, where players work together to defeat the monsters, but at the same time, we want there to be something unique and compelling enough about our story, and to have that story work its way into the gameplay. So that if you are using some of the specialty weapons, those actually loan themselves well to using Wii motion controls…Just like we did in The Conduit, where we had weapons that were very specific to the Wii motions, we’ll do the same with The Grinder. But then of course we’ll take it up a notch and use great attachments like Wii motion plus and enhance them even more.” – The Grinder Art Director, Matt Corso

Boy, I’m pumped up about The Grinder…And it’s very far away from releasing.

We posted a video of The Conduit a few days ago, but that was actually the D.C. Monumental trailer. This is the actual launch trailer. For those of you that have the game so far, how do you like it?
