Wii

Stourbridge, England, 24th November 2008. Crazy Mini Golf is more than just seaside fun and games on a rainy day, it’s actually an international sport, which we British excel at! Chris Harding – the current British Champion and 2007 World title holder – regularly tours the world with his putter in hand, taking on all contenders.

Chris recently visited the Data Design Interactive development studio for a grudge match against the development team in “Kidz Sports – Crazy Mini Golf” which is available on Nintendo Wii. The best bits of this “winner takes all” match are now available on video, proving that Chris is not just a champion on the green, but also in the virtual world.

Wouldn’t it stink to go through a game, reach the end, but then realize that the game can’t actually be completed? Unfortunately, this seems to be the case for some players who are going through Tomb Raider: Underworld for Wii. The glitch apparently appears in the Coastal Thailand area, depending on how you attack that area. One member of the Eidos forums claims to have found a solution to the problem and provides a way to proceed through the level, but one must wonder why this issue was never discovered before the game released.

“Here, let me give the official rumor quote that all businesspeople have memorized: “I can neither confirm nor deny rumors.” That being said, you’ve already seen us bring back a few of our popular series. We get requests every day to bring back all sorts of series, like Adventure Island, Military Madness, Bonk, and so on. Let me say this: I think we’d be crazy not to bring some of our classic brands back.” – Amar Gavhane, Hudson’s Associate Brand Manager

Adventure Island, Military Madness, and Bonk all seem like perfect games to bring back if you ask me. Although, out of those three, I’d love to see Adventure Island reborn the most. What about you guys?

MEDIA ALERT: BUSKERS MAKING NEW YORK HOLIDAY SHOPPING MORE FUN WITH WII MUSIC PERFORMANCES

Creative, Wildly Interactive Game To Make Beautiful Music Nov. 22-23

WHAT:
Live musical performances have always been a fun part of the holidays. This year, Nintendo will be making spirits bright by bringing Wii Music to your neighborhood. This weekend, Nov. 22-23 between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Staten Island Mall in Staten Island, NY, holiday shoppers will be able to see first-hand how Wii can be turned into a musical instrument with Wii Music. A family of street musicians will be on hand with Wii Music to demonstrate the 50 different tunes and more than 60 instruments available in the game, from melodic steel drums to soaring trumpets.

SANTA MONICA, CA – November 21, 2008 – Activision Publishing, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI) announced today Big League Sports for the Wii™ has hit retail shelves in North America. Developed by Koolhaus Games exclusively for Wii, the game is all about putting players right into the action in the most thrilling situations in their favorite sports.

There are multiple disciplines to master within tennis, basketball, football, soccer, lacrosse and hockey. But unlike other games the focus is not on the team – it’s on whether or not you can deliver in specific, adrenaline-pumping moments. Whether it’s acing an opponent in tennis, hitting a basketball shot at the buzzer, or bending free kicks around a goalie in soccer, Big League Sports offers a fresh interpretation of what a sports game can be on Wii.
