Nintendo will begin offering a Wii disc cleaning product called the “Wii Lens Cleaner Set” in Japan which will retail for about ¥800 or $7.80. One possibility people are pointing to for the cleaning solution is due to the problems some Super Smash Bros. Brawl owners were facing with the dual-layered disc. Hopefully, with the Wii Lens Cleaner Set, system owners will be able to properly fix up the discs. Nintendo will offer the product in stores this month.

Thought the Wii would be getting another gimped version of Rock Band with Rock Band II? Not the case at all. It has been confirmed that not only will all DLC from the PS3/360 versions of the game be available for the Wii, but also, DLC from the first title will be made available. “It may be a tricky one, but EA is out to deliver the biggest offering on Wii thus far, as every song available from 360/PS3 will be included for Wii release, and the game will feature the same store system as well, letting you preview video of the track, look at album art, and download directly from in game. In addition, Rock Band 2 is going to update – for Wii users only – all previous downloadable content from Rock Band 1 and put it in the Wii store as well, so for those out there that wanted the game’s first DLC tracks but could never get them, Rock Band 2 can facilitate.”

However, “Titles from the Rock Band 1 disc, and the Rock Band Track Pack won’t be available, and there’s no way to rip the songs from that game onto Rock Band 2.”

More details are coming from XSEED, and it looks like GameSpot incorrectly confirmed XSEED as a publisher for No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle.

“This is incorrect, MMV has not confirmed the US publisher yet. We did help arrange the Gamespot interviews with Suda51 at TGS, the creator of NMH and NMH2, since the US publisher is yet to be confirmed so that’s where the confusion probably started.” – Ken, XSEED Games

Well, that’s a bit of a let down. I still personally feel as though this would be a great title for XSEED to pick up. Then again, the company still has a chance to publish the next No More Heroes game. I suppose we’ll have to wait and see what happens down the line.
