MotoGP 08 for Wii production running late, no online reconfirmed

“The Wii version is running late production wise and it will not ship at the end of next month with the other SKUs. There are some improvements from the PS2, in particular the control mechanisms with the Wiimote, but It is true that there is no online play.” – Christian Svensson, Corporate Officer/VP of Strategic Planning & Business Development
I don’t really see how the lack of online play in the Wii version can be defended here. Both the PS3 and 360 versions of MotoGP 08 obviously have the feature included, with the only other console joining the no-online party is the PS2. To add insult to injury, MotoGP 08 for Wii isn’t even shipping in line with the other versions of the game. What’s a Wii owner to do?!

Bomberman Blast going the Mario Kart route with tournaments
Posted on 16 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii | 0 comments
With the release of Bomberman Blast on WiiWare, Hudson Entertainment will offer several online tournaments, including one that coincides with the game’s launch. The first tournament will be a live, online, head-to-head competition between 49 randomly-selected entrants, hosted by Hudson Entertainment. Registration for the tournament and an associated sweepstakes begins immediately and runs until 5:00 p.m. PST on October 3, 2008. The competition itself will take place starting at 2:00 p.m. PST on October 6, 2008. For more information on the upcoming tournaments and to register, players can visit www.Hudsonentertainment.com.
If anything, these tournaments will only add to the game. Like Mario Kart Wii, having new content (in this case, tournaments) available greatly helps to extend the replay value of a title.
