The Official Magazine has published the first Zelda: Skyward Sword review about a month before the game launches around the world. As previously reported, they awarded the game a 98% score along with a “Gold Award”.

Wondering what the magazine said about the title? Fortunately, we have a ton of details from the review, which was surprisingly devoid of spoilers.

You can find the information after the break.

The first review ever of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is included in the latest issue of the Official Nintendo Magazine.

Like Ocarina of Time 3D, ONM handed out a 98% score for Skyward Sword. The magazine believes that it is the “best Zelda game ever made.” It’s worth mentioning that this is the highest score that ONM has ever given to a Wii game.

The reviewer also wrote, “It’s not something we say lightly, but the Zelda series really has never been this good.”

Regarding game length, players can expect 35 hours for the main quest alone. Side-quests, bug collecting, and more will add to that amount:

“There are about 35 hours to be spent on Skyward Sword’s main quest along, and at least double that if you plan on dipping into the game’s plentiful side-quests, collecting all of the insects, upgrading all of the items, discovering the locations of the Goddess Cubes and exploring the world.”
