Cambridge, Mass. – October 14th, 2011– Harmonix today announced that a 6-pack from the Grammy Award winning Coldplay will be available beginning October 18th in theRock Band 3 Music Store of downloadable content for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Wii™.

Rock Band provides the deepest and best selection of artists, songs and albums through the Rock Band music platform, which features more than 900 artists and more than 3,000* tracks via disc and download purchase (complete list of tracks at www.rockband.com/songs). Rock Band’s gigantic music library dwarfs that of any other rhythm video game on the market. More than 100 million songs have been sold through the Rock Band Music Store since its launch Nov. 20, 2007.

Rock Band DLC Additions for Xbox 360®, PlayStation®3 system and Wii™

Star Fox 64 3D – 130,000
3DS Flame Red – 79,000
Kirby Mass Attack – 66,000
Bit.Trip Complete – less than 1,000 units

Poor Bit.Trip Complete… The thing is, I don’t find its sales to be surprising. It’s always felt more like a niche series in spite of the fact that all of the games were of very high-quality.

We posted a few of these screenshots last night, as very small images. In any case, a good amount of them are new, they’re all huge, and they’re all in English!

REDMOND, Wash.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Nintendo has revealed another set of details about the fascinating areas, items and game play in the upcoming The Legend of Zelda™: Skyward Sword game, which will launch exclusively for the Wii™ system on Nov. 20. Following last week’s unveiling of new information about the Faron Woods area of the game, fans can now glimpse additional details about this and other areas, plus a sneak peek at how players can maneuver Link™ through watery environments and help him wield a whip using the Wii Remote™ Plus controller. Newly revealed game elements include the following:

Lake Floria and the Parella Tribe: Later in his quest, Link must make his way to an as-yet-undiscovered section of the Faron Woods that is home to Lake Floria. The lake is inhabited by the squid-like Parella tribe, which makes its first appearance in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. Even when revisiting past areas like Faron Woods, players will make new discoveries and, occasionally, find drastic changes to the environment that require them to explore these areas in entirely different ways.
