MadWorld available for just $10
Posted on 15 years ago by Austin(@NE_Austin) in News, Wii | 2 Comments
As many of you know, Madworld is not a Wii game that sold very well, and when it comes down to it, I just do not know why. Maybe it was the over the top violence, maybe it was the graphical style; either way, it’s a very fun game that is worth playing, and after the official price dropped to just $20, I was sure that no one would pass it up. Well, apparently people have passed it up because the price on Newegg.com has dropped to just $10, with free shipping. I usually don’t push my agenda on anyone, but I would highly recommend picking this game up for this price. Even if you hate it, it was only $10, so you really can’t go wrong.
You do not need to pre-order Monster Hunter Tri to receive the demo
Posted on 15 years ago by Austin(@NE_Austin) in News, Wii | 2 Comments
I’ve heard a few stories about people getting heckled by Gamestop to pre-order Monster Hunter Tri in order to receive the demo, and even I was tricked into putting down a deposit on the title! While it isn’t a huge deal, because I will definitely be keeping that pre-order down, it’s worthwhile to post this and clear up some information: You do NOT need to pre-order the game to receive the demo. According to Capcom’s official blog, the demo should be available at no cost to you, so feel free to run into your local Gamestop and steal a copy! Of course, Valay informed me that even when he made it very clear to the employees of his Gamestop that Capcom said the demo should be free, they wouldn’t give him a copy without a pre-order, so be prepared for a bit of a struggle! Or just be real sneaky-like…

Suda51 is interested in moving 8-bit NMH2 jobs to DSiWare
Posted on 15 years ago by Austin(@NE_Austin) in DS, News, Wii | 2 Comments
This comes from a recent interview with VideoGamer:
“[After being asked if he would like to put the games onto DSiWare] Good idea! I want to do that! If you play it, each type of job you can really enjoy. They’re not just a part of a side mission. Each game itself is of a really good quality, in fact.” – Goichi Suda
Would you guys purchase the job mini-games if they went to DSiWare?
‘No price cuts for the Wii in 2010’ says Nintendo
Posted on 15 years ago by Austin(@NE_Austin) in News, Wii | 1 Comment
“Certainly on the Wii, we are now in the fifth year. We have had extraordinary success. The PS2 went on to sell more than 50 million. So that means there is plenty of opportunity to sell more Wiis. That being said, going into the fifth year, you usually don’t anticipate selling more than you did in the previous year. Right now, we continue to see demand at very strong levels. It’s tough to find a Wii now. If we hit 100 stores in the area, we would find Wiis in only 20 percent of them today. That tremendous strength we had in December really wiped the pipeline clean. Our pipeline, [and] the retailer pipeline. And so, with that kind of demand, it doesn’t suggest the need for any pricing actions.” – Cammie Dunaway
I don’t know how much to believe her on this, especially when Nintendo has been known to deny rumors just days before they turn out to be true. Anyone think they might be serious this time?
