Metroid: Other M will be released on June 27 in North America. The game is being demoed today, but only privately to the press. Impressions and previews should be expected later tonight. Unfortunately though, Nintendo is not allowing sites to share videos of Other M and Super Mario Galaxy 2.

Update: Added some details about the demo disc for Monster Hunter 3 below, as well as a pre-order incentive.

Nintendo and Capcom have just eased the nerves for a ton of Wii owners looking forward to Monster Hunter 3. It was revealed at Nintendo’s media summit today that the title will have no online fees, unlike Japan. There will be a bundle available for the Classic Controller Pro. Also, you’ll be able to pick up a demo disc for the Monster Hunter 3 on March 8. Meanwhile, the actual game and bundle will be released on April 20 in the states.

– Two quests on the demo disc
– Monster Hunter Tri points card with pre-order
– Card rewards you with 500 points for the Wii or DSi shops

Nintendo of America has just dated Sin and Punishment 2 for North America. The title will launch on June 7, although it’s getting a slightly new title. The full name of the game is Sin and Punishment 2: Star Successor. Like the Japanese version, you’ll be able to share scores with other players online.

Although Nintendo of Australia’s media summit was rather uneventful, there is some exciting news to share. IGN is reporting that both Metroid: Other M and Super Mario Galaxy 2 will be released sometime between June and August. Unfortunately, exact dates were not provided, although that information will most certainly be revealed in the coming months. If I had to guess, Sin and Punishment 2 will launch in North America in April/May, Other M and Galaxy 2 in the summer, and if we’re lucky, Zelda Wii sometime during the holidays.

Mark Serrels, an editor for the Official Nintendo Magazine in Australia, just tweeted the following…

“Not seeing metroid until the US summit. What an absolute jib.”

According to Serrels, Metroid: Other M will be featured at North America’s Nintendo summit tomorrow. IGN’s Matt Casamassina seemed to strongly believe that the title would be there, although now it seems much more likely with this news. Hopefully the Big N will have a new trailer or footage to share.
