Nintendo and Target Help People Keep Their New Year’s Resolutions with Wii Fit Plus

Nintendo and Target have teamed up to give people a fun and invigorating way to keep their New Year’s resolutions. On weekends from Jan. 16-31, shoppers who visit select Target stores nationwide will encounter the Wii Fit™ Plus Experience in the parking lot or at the entrances of the stores. Each location will feature eight kiosks where visitors can get some “feet-on” time with the Wii Fit Plus software in an atmosphere reminiscent of a yoga studio.
Visitors will be able to try out the various balance games found in Wii Fit Plus, which uses the Wii Balance Board™ accessory to combine fun and fitness. Wii Fit Plus includes the original Wii Fit activities as well as more than 20 new activities, customizable workout routines and even a way to track the number of calories burned. Nintendo and Target ambassadors will be on hand to provide visitors with demos, information and free healthy snacks from Archer Farms, a food brand found only at Target.

– Classic Campaign mode: Similar to previous NBA Jam titles (3 vs. 3, shot clock/goaltending rules only)
– Remix Tour mode: Mechanics/rules/camera are different than Classic Campaign,
– New dunks (ex: evade shove move with spin move)
– Game uses photograph captures: 3 faces are used while running the court, 2 for dunking, one positive and one negative face
– Can play with Wiimote sideways or with motion control
