Innovative Rhythm and Fitness Game Is Now Available In Retail Stores Nationwide

Over 100 Songs to Step Along To Makes Walk It Out! One of the Most Expansive Rhythm Games on the Market

El Segundo, CA – January 12, 2010 – Konami Digital Entertainment Inc., today announced Walk It Out! is now available in retail stores nationwide for Wii™. Designed with children and parents in mind, Walk It Out! takes a fresh perspective on gaming by integrating traditional rhythm elements with a low impact and high energy walking simulator. In addition to addictive and rewarding gameplay, Walk It Out! provides an immersive music experience by offering one of the vastest and expansive music libraries of any rhythm game on the market. The soundtrack, which contains over 100 songs, features some of today’s biggest artists including licensed masters from Ne-Yo (Closer), Fergie (Clumsy) and Demi Lovato (How Do You Sleep).

Walk It Out!’s uniqueness lies in the gameplay where players walk their way throughout an expansive world of fields, stadiums, parks, ocean sides, suburbs and other metropolitan areas. As players step to the beat, they will begin to watch the world evolve and expand in real-time. Go straight or take a turn and follow the road less traveled to unlock in-game items, songs and bonuses. The more you walk, the more you discover and explore!

MOVIES, TV EPISODES STREAMED INSTANTLY FROM NETFLIX HEADED TO NINTENDO’S WII CONSOLE THIS SPRING

Millions of U.S. Wii Owners Will Have the Opportunity to Access the World’s Largest Online Movie Rental Service

REDMOND, Wash., and LOS GATOS, Calif., Jan. 13, 2010 – Nintendo of America Inc. and Netflix, Inc. [Nasdaq: NFLX] today announced an agreement that will allow Netflix members who are also owners of Nintendo’s Wii™ home console to instantly watch thousands of movies and TV episodes streamed from Netflix directly to their TVs. Netflix is scheduled to go live on the Wii console this spring in the United States at no additional cost to Netflix members who have a plan starting at $8.99 a month, a Wii console and a broadband Internet connection.

The partnership between the two companies will extend the reach of content streamed from Netflix farther than ever before, thanks to the mainstream popularity of the Wii console. Wii remains the fastest-selling home console in history, and reaches more consumers than any other device that currently supports streaming movies from Netflix. In December 2009, Nintendo sold well in excess of 3 million Wii consoles in the United States. Wii is the top-selling home video game system of this generation, and as such brings the Netflix experience to a broad and diverse mass market.

“Nintendo’s Metroid Prime: Trilogy is the ultimate collector’s edition experience for fans of the Metroid Prime series, combining all three critically acclaimed games on one disc with Wii motion controls. Copies of the game are currently available at major retailers nationwide. The next highly anticipated offering in the Metroid franchise is Metroid: Other M, which will be available this year.” – Nintendo statement

Even though Nintendo is saying that Metroid: Other M, Super Mario Galaxy 2, and Zelda Wii will all be released this year, I just don’t see that happening. I think Galaxy 2 will be released sometime this year for sure since the game is almost finished with development. If I had to guess, I’d say Zelda Wii is the most likely title to be delayed out of the three.

Nintendo being lazy

– Peer not sure why so many people are getting upset
– Peer wishes you could play New Super Mario Bros. Wii online, sort of lazy/not caring, people are defending it
– Wario Land: Shake It! ran in 4:3 and people were defending that as well
– People are accepting flaws because they are Nintendo
– Sam understands fans who are defending Nintendo
– Nintendo didn’t really upgrade much with Animal Crossing
– The podcast members still feel that Mario Bros. Wii is an amazing game
– Nintendo spends a lot of time making sure a level in Mario is great and making sure you’re not waiting
– Wii is a disc-based system, never notice anything is loading
– Craig thinks Nintendo is starting to get in the habit of rehashing old stuff
– Nintendo has reinvented their franchise in the past, so Peer says you have to forgive the podcast crew for being a little disappointed
– Peer thinks Galaxy 2 will be a safe sequel, which is fine, but if it happens 3 more times, then you start getting disappointed
– Peer wasn’t disappointed that Mario Bros. Wii was like the DS game or anything like that, it’s more about the lack of progress
– The way Nintendo envisions themselves, they don’t go to the same lengths as others do to impress people
– Craig thinks Nintendo will remove GameCube support from the next Wii
– Have to give Wii credit since it has changed video games, Nintendo has innovated in that regard
