FFCC: The Crystal Bearers releasing next February in Europe

Square Enix seemed to be hinting that Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers would not make it out this year in Europe. The company has already confirmed that the title will launch this December in North America. The Crystal Bearers will in fact be out next year in Europe, but it won’t be too long after the game releases elsewhere. European players will be able to purchase the title sometime in February 2010. There hasn’t been a specific release date announced, but I’m sure there will be as February approaches.
Red Steel 2 devs hope to release their game around March

The last time we heard about Red Steel’s 2 release date, Ubisoft announced that the title had been delayed. The game is now on track to ship sometime in the third fiscal quarter. However, the Red Steel 2 team has a more specific time frame in mind. Creative Director Jason Vandenberghe stated in a recent interview that gamers can expect the title to be available sometime around March and also elaborated on the reason why Red Steel 2 was delayed.
“You can look for Red Steel 2 somewhere around…Middle end of February, early March, something in there. We don’t have an exact date but we’re shooting for it being done around that timeframe. We got an extension outside of Christmas, which was something the team asked for and we’re really glad that we got it because it means we have the time to do what we’re doing now, which is polish the difficulty ramp across the whole game so that it’s not just cool at the beginning and then no good for the rest of it. And also, work on combining all of our pieces together, making the finish moves and the enemies all work together. So we’re using that time to good effort. So hopefully all will go well with that and I think it will.”

As the hustle and bustle of the holiday season draws near, Nintendo is making it easier for consumers to sample and experience some of the year’s most talked-about games and game systems. This past weekend, Oct. 2-4, the new World of Nintendo sampling tour kicked off with an appearance at the annual Long Beach Comic Con in Long Beach, Calif., treating attendees to a firsthand look at a variety of recent and forthcoming games for the Wii™, Nintendo DS™ and Nintendo DSi™ systems.
Less than a week after consumers discovered a new suggested retail price of $199.99 for Wii, World of Nintendo participants in Long Beach gathered for hands-on demonstrations of games like Wii Sports Resort™, Wii Fit™ Plus and Punch-Out!! ™, as well as the upcoming New Super Mario Bros. ™ Wii. The event also highlighted new hand-held games such as Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box™ and the highly anticipated The Legend of Zelda™: Spirit Tracks, both playable on Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSi systems. World of Nintendo visitors also enjoyed a glimpse into a selection of downloadable game titles on the WiiWare™ and Nintendo DSiWare™ services.
