Warner Bros. just revealed LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, and it’s coming to Nintendo Switch 2. The title arrives in 2026, and it’s playable at Gamescom this week.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is the first LEGO release from developer TT Games since The Skywalker Saga in 2022.

Sonic the Hedgehog and Pac-Man are teaming up with two new DLC packs.

In Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, the game is getting Pac-Man World DLC. Similarly, Sonic DLC is planned for Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac.

Bubsy 4D

The Bubsy renaissance continues, and now it’s been announced that Bubsy 4D is coming to both Nintendo Switch and Switch. A release window has not been provided.

Bubsy 4D comes from Fabraz, the developer of Slime-san and Demon Turf. Bubsy fans can look forward to a 3D platformer with “new challenges, new moves, and even more purrsonality.”

Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion demo

Marvelous is offering Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion fans a chance to try out the game early with a demo. If you head on over to the official Nintendo eShop page, you should be able to download the trial.

We don’t have specifics as to what the Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion demo includes. However, players should be able to experience early parts of the game.

Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025 live stream

Gamescom 2025 is getting things started with its traditional Opening Night Live broadcast, and we now have the official live stream. The event starts at 11 PM PT / 2 PM ET / 7 PM in the UK / 8 PM in Europe.

The Game Awards creator and host Geoff Keighley will be bringing along the latest announcements and news for the industry. While we’re not expecting Nintendo itself to really have a presence here, there should be at least something for Switch 2 / Switch through other publishers and developers.

Nintendo PAX West 2025 lineup

Nintendo shared its full lineup for PAX West 2025, with multiple first and third-party games for Nintendo Switch 2 planned to be on display. The offerings are similar to what will be on hand for Gamescom 2025 this week.

Team Cherry has teased a “special announcement” for Hollow Knight: Silksong. News will be shared on August 21 at 7:30 AM PT / 10:30 AM ET / 3:30 PM in the UK / 4:30 PM in Europe.

It’s hard to imagine what this could be other than a release date. Fans have been waiting years for the game at this point, and most recently, Team Cherry committed to a 2025 launch. On top of that, we know that the title will be playable at Gamescom 2025, which starts tomorrow.

In today’s Kirby Air Riders Direct, director Masahiro Sakurai gave more background information regarding how the project came to be, including why he made the game.

It turns out that Shinya Takahashi, head of software development at Nintendo and former HAL Laboratory president Satoshi Mitsuhara really wanted to make it happen. Sakurai was busy with DLC for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate at the time, but he “managed to complete a written proposal at high speed.”

Now that today’s Kirby Air Riders Direct has wrapped up, Nintendo has passed along an official recap announcement. A ton of information was shared in the 45-minute presentation, but thanks to the press release, everything is neatly summarized.

Also, this wasn’t covered in the presentation, but we now know that Kirby Air Riders is playable at PAX West 2025. Demos will require a Warp Pipe Pass reservation.

Kirby Air Riders release date

During today’s Kirby Air Riders Direct, a release date was given for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 game. It will be available on November 20, 2025.

Kirby Air Riders received a blowout of footage, details, and more as part of today’s presentation. It was our first proper look at the title following the original announcement in April.
