The latest Digital Foundry Nintendo Switch 2 technical analysis is for Street Fighter 6, which goes over a variety of details like resolution and frame rate.
For the most part, Capcom seems to have delivered an admirable port, with DLSS being used to help with image quality. The frame rate – which is key for fighting titles – is also stable in primary fights.

Another big update has dropped for Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, with players now having access to version 1.4.0.
On Nintendo Switch 2, Level-5 has adjusted the game’s rendering to improve blurriness. The game has also received new Area Challenges, new materials, new armor, and new objects. Various adjustments and bug fixes are also included.

To an extent, online play at a high level has always been difficult in the Mario Kart series. That said, Mario Kart World has upped the difficulty in pretty much every category. Items are more chaotic, the game’s skill ceiling is much higher, and items are much more chaotic (again). These factors make racking up wins online much more difficult, with Knockout Tour in particular being specifically brutal in big groups. Given all the factors out of your control, it’s probably impossible to guarantee wins online – but today, we’re going over some tips and tricks that might help you improve your placement in big races.

Nintendo explains why it made game-key cards for Switch 2

While many Nintendo Switch 2 owners have been enjoying the system so far, game-key cards are something that still isn’t sitting right with many. Now thanks to a shareholders meeting, we get to hear from Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa as to why they were made in the first place.
For those that haven’t been keeping up with the situation, game-key cards aren’t true physical releases. Although you get a cartridge, there’s basically nothing on it – you need to download all of the data first. Some feel that this defeats the purpose of what a physical release actually is.
Nintendo president on concerns that younger gamers could miss out on Switch 2 due to its price

Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa has again weighed in on the price of Switch 2, and in particular, the potential impact that could have on younger players. This comes from a recent shareholders meeting.
An investor brought up the fact that Switch 2 costs more than other consoles, which could mean that younger gamers may not have as many opportunities to play the system. Furukawa responded by saying that Nintendo Switch 2’s price “is commensurate with the gaming experience”. For the younger demographic, it was mentioned that Nintendo is “creating various opportunities for young children to experience Nintendo characters and the world of games outside of game consoles”.

Generally, my wife does not play video games very often, as she’s always been more keen to cozy up with a good book and warm cup of tea during her free time. There are exceptions, of course – she did complete two 70+ hour playthrough of Hogwarts Legacy, to her credit – but for the most part, she simply hasn’t found many games that have piqued her interest. The only major exception to that trend is when a new game from Hazelight Studios comes out. She and I had a blast playing the studio’s previous two titles, A Way Out and It Takes Two, on the couch together over the past several years, and from time to time she would ask me if there was a sequel or something similar to those games that we could play. Needless to say, I was excited to learn that the studio’s next game, Split Fiction, would be a launch game for the Nintendo Switch 2, and was eager to put their latest genre-mashing, reality-shifting co-op adventure through its paces.

Shadow Labyrinth is the latest free Nintendo Switch to Switch 2 upgrade

Another free Nintendo Switch to Switch 2 upgrade is now confirmed, as Bandai Namco confirmed that this will be in place for Shadow Labyrinth.
The game, a new take on Pac-Man which was first see in the show Secret Level, will have a frame rate of 60 FPS. Resolution comes in at 4K when docked – it’s a native 1080p in handheld mode. To compare, Shadow Labyrinth is 1080p docked and 720p portable on the previous Nintendo Switch.
