Contra III: The Alien Wars, Konami’s classic SNES game, has been rated by the OFLC. This likely means that a release on the Wii U Virtual Console is on the horizon. I’m sure we’ll be seeing it on the eShop sometime in the near future.

Gory Detail’s Chris Seavor has given a look at Rusty Pup on Twitter. Seavor shared a couple of short Instagram clips showing the game in action. Take a look:


Two more Virtual Console games are apparently due out in North America tomorrow. Nintendo has listings for Zelda II: The Adventure of Link (Wii U VC) and Tecmo Bowl (3DS VC) up on its website with a September 12 release date. Both cost $4.99 each.

Renegade Kid will kick off a sale for its eShop releases in North America starting tomorrow. All of the studio’s games will be discounted by 30 percent, including Mutant Mudds and Mutant Mudds Deluxe.

The Wii U version of EDGE will run at 1080p and 60 frames-per-second, according to developer Two Tribes.

The studio passed along the news on Twitter, writing:


EDGE is one of three classic Two Tribes games coming to Wii U. RUSH and Toki Tori are also planned for the console.

Two new Virtual Console games are on track for the Japanese Wii U eShop next week. Famicom Mukashibanashi Shin Onigashima and Super Wagan Land will be out on September 18. Pricing is set at 500 yen and 800 yen respectively.
