The Wii U and 3DS eShops technically aren’t connected, but it is possible to look up 3DS titles through the Wii U store. Perhaps in an effort to promote this functionality, the Wii U eShop now has a section showing off 3DS games.
You can look up a variety of 3DS products and information straight through the Wii U eShop. It’s just a shame this feature isn’t extended further.

OFLC rates EarthBound
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U eShop | 0 comments
Well, we’ve known since last month’s Nintendo Direct that EarthBound is heading to the overseas Wii U eShops as a Virtual Console download. Now a rating for the game has popped up on the OFLC. While I’m not too sure that a release is necessarily imminent, maybe we’ll be seeing it sooner rather than later.

Update: Not all information discovered through the site leak was accurate, but it sounds like quite a bit was. Official details here.
A pulled test page on Precursor Games’ website has revealed the first details about Shadow of the Eternals, where it goes by the earlier name Shadow of the Ancients.
Shadow of the Eternals is coming to both Wii U and PC. A release is planned for the fourth quarter of 2014, according to the FAQ portion of the page.
Fans can expect an action-adventure experience with horror elements mixed in. It’s strictly a single-player experience – a note reads:
“We believe that single player games are very much alive in this industry, and present a cinematic experience to the gamer unlike any other.”

Rex Rocket dev could bring Zelda-like game Blossom Tales to Wii U/3DS
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS eShop, News, Wii U eShop | 0 comments
Rob Maher, the developer behind Rex Rocket, could bring an additional game to the Wii U eShop – or perhaps even the 3DS eShop.
Maher told Nintendo Life that the team has interest in releasing the Zelda-inspired title “Blossom Tales” on one of the two platforms.
Of the game, he said:
“Depending on the success of Rex Rocket, we have big plans to bring a previous title that I had been working on called Blossom Tales, a Zelda-like game that I think stems from my inner kid and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past being one of the unobtainable games of my youth. Set in the world of Blossom, the game follows a young and newly initiated Knight of the Rose, Lily. After King Orchid is double-crossed and cursed to sleep by the Wizard Crocus, it’s up to Lily to find ingredients to concoct a potion that will restore the King. We are hoping to pave the way with Rex Rocket onto Nintendo and follow it up with Blossom Tales — depending on the success of Rex Rocket, we may develop a sequel first. Nintendo is the primary goal for us, 100%.”
