Mutant Mudds Deluxe is coming closer to release. Renegade Kid co-founder Jools Watsham just tweeted that the game is “in the final stretch” of development as the team wraps up polishing. With any luck, Deluxe will be submitted to Nintendo this week.

Mutant Mudds Deluxe is scheduled to hit the Wii U eShop in Q2. It will be Renegade Kid’s first title for the console.

Super Ubi Land is getting a name change. Developer Notion Games has been in contact with Ubisoft, who may have requested a different title due to the similarities between “Ubi” and “Ubisoft”.

A tweet sent out by Notion Games reads:

When we last heard, Super Ubi Land was on track for a spring release. Hopefully that’s still the case.

The Wii U and 3DS eShops technically aren’t connected, but it is possible to look up 3DS titles through the Wii U store. Perhaps in an effort to promote this functionality, the Wii U eShop now has a section showing off 3DS games.

You can look up a variety of 3DS products and information straight through the Wii U eShop. It’s just a shame this feature isn’t extended further.

Well, we’ve known since last month’s Nintendo Direct that EarthBound is heading to the overseas Wii U eShops as a Virtual Console download. Now a rating for the game has popped up on the OFLC. While I’m not too sure that a release is necessarily imminent, maybe we’ll be seeing it sooner rather than later.

WayForward has given fresh details about the previously-announced Mighty Switch Force! Hyper Drive Edition update.

The patch will make use of re-balanced audio levels, improved headphone support, and new file compression – the size will be 40% smaller. A new playable character, Pixel Patty, is also packed in.

WayForward has additionally reconfirmed plans to release Mighty Switch Force! HD in Australia and New Zealand.

A release date for the update will be announced soon.

Update: Not all information discovered through the site leak was accurate, but it sounds like quite a bit was. Official details here.

A pulled test page on Precursor Games’ website has revealed the first details about Shadow of the Eternals, where it goes by the earlier name Shadow of the Ancients.

Shadow of the Eternals is coming to both Wii U and PC. A release is planned for the fourth quarter of 2014, according to the FAQ portion of the page.

Fans can expect an action-adventure experience with horror elements mixed in. It’s strictly a single-player experience – a note reads:

“We believe that single player games are very much alive in this industry, and present a cinematic experience to the gamer unlike any other.”
