Most of you have probably heard about the Angry Video Game Nerd before. In his popular web series, James Rolfe blasts games from the past.
A brand new video game based on AVGN was announced earlier this month for PC. Today, it was revealed through the title’s official Facebook page that a release is also planned for “Nintendo consoles”.
The word “consoles” seems to imply that Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures will be heading to the Wii U eShop as well as the 3DS eShop.
FreakZone Games is working on Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures. It incorporates action, platforming, and shooting gameplay, and takes inspiration from the likes of Mega Man and Castlevania.

Pinball Arcade receives PEGI rating; release soon?
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U eShop | 0 comments
We heard that The Pinball Arcade was in development for Wii U close to a year ago. At the time, developer FarSight said that it would like “to release as close to the launch of the platform as possible.”
The Wii U may have been out for a few months now, but it seems as though the game’s arrival is drawing near.
We’ve come across a Wii U listing of Pinball Arcade from PEGI, one of Europe’s classification databases. Now that the game has been rated in Europe, a launch may very well be on the horizon.
Rex Rocket possible for Wii U/3DS, Atomhawk has Nintendo interest
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS eShop, News, Wii U eShop | 0 comments
Rex Rocket has a decent shot of landing on the Wii U or 3DS. The game’s developer launched a Kickstarter (accessible here), where it states that the team has hopes to “bring Rex Rocket to Macs, iOS Devices, XBLIG, Wii U, PS Vita, Nintendo 3DS and OUYA but we cannot guarantee them at this time.”
Atomhawk Design also has interest in working with the Wii U. Once its Kickstarter campaign for “The Realm” ends, it could look into a point-and-click adventure game for the platform.
Rumor: Nintendo to let 3DS owners repurchase Wii U VC games at a discount
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS eShop, Podcast Stories, Rumors, Wii U eShop | 0 comments
If you have a Virtual Console game on your Wii U through Wii mode, you can repurchase it on the eShop at a significant discount. We’re now hearing that a similar program may be offered between Wii U VC and 3DS VC games.
According to a new article written by Emily Rogers, a VC game would need to have launched for both Wii U and 3DS in order to be eligible – as you would expect. Rogers also clarifies that not all titles would be included in the program.
When might we be hearing about this from Nintendo? Perhaps not at E3, but likely before year’s end.
Rogers has also reiterated rumors about a gifting feature for the Wii U eShop, which was first provided on the Wii Shop Channel. This element is coming not only due to requests from gamers, but indie developers as well.
