Pwnee Studios says they’ve had few issues working with Wii U development, Nintendo has been very helpful

Developer of the upcoming Cloudberry Kingdom on Wii U “Pwnee Studios” told Aussie Gamer the other day that Nintendo has been great to work with relating to the development and publishing of their game on the Wii U eShop, and they were “pumped” when they got the chance to bring the game to Nintendo fans.
In terms of getting the game onto the eShop, it has gone pretty smoothly. We presented the game to Nintendo, they liked it, and they said we should go onto the eShop. All we had to do was agree!

One of the more interesting bits of information to come from this is how simple it was to get Nintendo to let them publish the game on the eShop! They simply show off their game (probably to some Nintendo representatives), and the Big N makes the decision themselves based on how cool the game is. I find that to be quite a refreshingly simple way to get a game put out!
MercurySteam never started Lords of Shadow 2 on Wii U, not about budget constraints

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 won’t be hitting Wii U – at least for the foreseeable future. But it has nothing to do with budget constraints, as some reports have suggested.
Producer David Cox took to Twitter and clarified comments published by Eurogamer earlier today. Cox had told the publication that a Wii U version wasn’t in the cards due to a lack of resources. What he meant by this is that MercurySteam would need more staffers and time – not additional funds.
“Can I just say the story about CVLOS2 not coming to WiiU due to budget constraints is utter bullshit. What I said was its a question of resource (people, time, space etc) and focus on what we are already doing”.
Cox also confirmed that Lords of Shadow 2 was never in development for Wii U at any point. Thus, the game was never cancelled for the console.
“Oh and we never cancelled the WiiU version because we never started a WiiU version for the reasons I just gave…”

Following in the footsteps of Skylanders, Disney and PDP have unveiled the very first figurines for their upcoming NFC-based game Disney Infinity, shown above. There are four figures displayed (two from Monsters Inc., two from Cars) and a showcasing stand for them, but PDP says the stand will be able to house multiple toys, the power discs (to get them into the game) and other accessories as well.
Producer reiterates reasons for lack of Lords of Shadow 2 on Wii U
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Podcast Stories, Wii U | 0 comments
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 producer David Cox has once again commented on why the Wii U won’t be receiving his game.
As Cox told Eurogamer, developer MercurySteam simply doesn’t possess enough resources. The team would need to tack on another 20 staffers just to make a Wii U port possible.
Cox explained:
“The reason why we are developing it on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 is simply because that’s the amount of people we got. If we want to do a Wii U conversion, that’s another 20 people. We just don’t have the resources or the budget to do it. It’s not to say we wouldn’t do it, it’s to say at this point we don’t want to lose focus on what we’re doing. We’ve got a certain way down the line, and it would be a distraction to have to do a port to another system at this point.”
Cox won’t rule out Lords of Shadow 2 for Wii U completely. It could happen in the future, but fans shouldn’t hold their breath for the time being.
“Game development is about managing resources. You say to yourself, can I take on another 20 people? It’s just a nightmare to manage at this point. That’s the only reason why we’re not doing any other formats. Also, the MercurySteam office is at breaking point right now. It’s rammed. They bought the office for 60 people, and there are 110 now. People are sitting on each other’s laps almost. It’s all these kind of logistical issues about the development.”

Capcom’s PAX East lineup includes two unannounced games
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, General Nintendo, News, Wii U | 0 comments
Capcom will be announcing two games at PAX East next month. The company plans to reveal both projects during the “World of Capcom” Panel.
A description of the event reads:
“Moderator Francis Mao (CAPCOM) leads a panel of Capcom’s producers and product managers to share the latest details on all the upcoming Capcom games such as Remember Me, Lost Planet 3, Resident Evil: Revelations, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, two NEW product announcements, and more! Up to 1,000 fans will walk away with a free gift, so this is a panel you definitely do not want to miss!”
Capcom will host its panel on March 22 at 12 PM ET. As far as the expo itself is concerned, this will be taking place between March 22 and March 24.
I do wonder if either (or both) of these games are Wii U-related. Capcom recently teased news for the console that would be coming “in the not-so-distant future.”
Below is a listing of Capcom’s PAX East lineup:
- Remember Me
- Lost Planet 3
- Resident Evil: Revelations
- Darkstalkers Resurrection
- Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen
- Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate
- Capcom Arcade Cabinet
- Two new unannounced titles
