Wii U

One Wii U user (and maybe more) was able to access a Miiverse debug menu of sorts on Wii U. This is something that wasn’t intended to be accessible.

In an official statement, Nintendo confirmed that the “mock menu” was indeed accessed by some users. The issue has since been fixed and can’t be accessed any longer.

“It has come to our attention that some people were able to access a mock up menu on Miiverse following the launch of Wii U in the US. Please note that this was only a mock up menu and has now been removed and is not accessible.”

On the record, Rockstar hasn’t provided an official comment indicating that they are developing Grand Theft Auto V for Wii U. The console, as well as the PC, are both “up for consideration”, however.

Rockstar’s Dan Houser commented:

“Everything else is up for consideration. That’s all I can give you. The main thing is we are not… we are a third-party publisher. We’re not Nintendo, we’re not Sony, we’re not Microsoft. We love all of them in different ways. But we can do what we want wherever there’s the appropriate business opportunity and chance to find a market. If that’s on Apple we put something on Apple. Wherever it might be. I think that’s the fun in what we do. We see ourselves as a content company that uses technology. We don’t make it; we use it to make the most fun stuff.”

Reggie acknowledging the “my body is ready” meme? That’s amazing!

Wii U owners who had been hoping they’d be able to log into their Nintendo Network accounts on a different console will be disappointed. The ID can only be used on the original console where it was created.

As has been mentioned in the past, Nintendo has said that you’ll be able to access the account on other devices. This includes PCs and smartphones.
