New details about Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed on Wii U are as follows:

– By default, the Gamepad displays a map
– Touch a racer’s icon to get a real-time stream of that racer’s perspective
– Lift the gamepad in line with the television to display a rear-view mirror
– Five-player split screen confirmed
– Multiple asymmetric gameplay modes added
– One of these modes has Wiimote players collecting bananas in an arena and the Gamepad player trying to squash them as Monkey Ball’s “Ai Ai”
– Another one has the Gamepad player playing as Shinobi, chasing the other players around to tag them and turn them into Shinobi as well
– Two versions of the Wii U version: One is regular, one has Metal Sonic as a playable character and a bonus racetrack based on “OutRun”

A new character is joining the Injustice: Gods Among Us today. Green Arrow has been confirmed for the fighter, and he should be included in an updated demo build at New York Comic Con this weekend.

Head past the break for a bunch of news from Frozenbyte’s sales and marketing manager Mikael Haveri. Haveri comments on how supportive Nintendo has been with Trine 2: Director’s Cut thus far, shares more information on the Magic Mayhem mode (which won’t be ready for launch, it seems), discusses Miiverse, patching, and briefly mentions achievements on Wii U – of which he is “almost 100% sure that there will be some type of system.”

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has confirmed that Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition will be launching alongside Wii U in Europe. It will be available on November 30.

Warner Interactive president Martin Tremblay said:

“Batman: Arkham City Armoured Edition harnesses the power of the Wii U system and the Wii U GamePad with features that allow fans to further immerse themselves in the role of Batman like never before. WB Games Montréal evolved the incredible hit game by Rocksteady into a truly unique experience on Wii U.”

Armored Edition will also be ready for the Wii U launch in North America.

The 3DS version of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will be playable at New York Comic Con 2012 this weekend. But that’s not all! Capcom confirmed today that the Wii U game will be playable as well.

Attendees will be able to try out the title at the company’s Monster Hunter room. The room will also house a tournament that will offer prizes such as a copy of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate – which will be provided at launch.

Those who are interested should stop by Room B101 of the convention hall. Capcom is doing this on a first come, first serve basis and you’ll need to sign up on Saturday, the first day of the tournament.

Tournament times are as follows:

(Friday will be free play sessions all day)

Saturday
1:00-1:40: Hunt the Lagombi (easy)
1:50-2:30: Hunt the Plesioth (medium)
2:40-3:20: Hunt the Brachydios (hard) 

Sunday
2:10-2:50: Hunt the Lagombi (easy)
3:00-3:40: Hunt the Plesioth (medium)
3:50-4:30: Hunt the Brachydios (hard)

All other times for Saturday and Sunday will be free play.
