Rumor: SEGA bringing Demon Tribe to Wii U
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Rumors, Wii U | 0 comments
SEGA has been teasing “Project Omega” with some provocative images for about a week now. The page was updated once more today.
It’s still in a teaser state, but the domain now points to “demon-tribe.com”. And while this tidbit hasn’t been officially confirmed, the site’s source code reveals that the title will be heading to Wii U, PlayStation Vita, and PSP.
That’s a bit of an odd choice of platforms, isn’t it? Hopefully we’ll be learning more soon!

Tekken Tag Tournament 2: Wii U Edition – scroll through moves on GamePad, online tidbits, DLC included, more to come
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U | 0 comments
Tekken Tag Tournament 2: Wii U Edition takes advantage of the GamePad in a few ways. Producer Katsuhiro Harada confirmed to Siliconera that players will be able to scroll through moves on the tablet, for instance.
Harada feels that implementing this functionality will make the title more approachable for novice players. However, some of the more complex techniques will be easier to execute on the actual controller rather than a shortcut.
“We foresee a lot of players new to the series will join this installment. It does make it easier for novices because you can just push a shortcut to execute commands. When you get better at the game and in high level play, there are some techniques that are better with the controller itself and not the shortcuts. A lot of people good with Tekken won’t even need the shortcuts. For example, the Wind God Fist, a staple of the Mishima’s that launches your opponent if you do that quickly, a more improved version of the technique will come out that is not available in the shortcuts.”
Regarding online play, it’s still up in the air as to whether or not players will be able to access the move list through the GamePad. It additionally hasn’t been set in stone if the Mushroom Battle mode can be played online. Harada was able to confirm, however, that the game’s minimal latency will be comparable to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360’s experience.
Namco Bandai will be including all of the PS3 and 360’s downloadable characters in the Wii U Edition, but it isn’t clear if the pre-order bonus fighters will be added in.
Fans can look forward to even more news for the Wii U Edition. There appear to be more features that Namco Bandai haven’t announced.
