Daemon X Machina

Daemon X Machina producer Kenichiro Tsukuda has spoken about how long the game will take to complete.

Tsukuda believes the story mode could last between 20 and 30 hours. However, those who are looking to collect as much equipment as they can may find themselves going through the experience for 100 hours. Aside from collecting equipment, players can have characters join them to help fight in battle.

Below are Tsukuda’s full words on Daemon X Machina’s length:

“So first, if you were to try to collect every single equipment, it could be endless. Let’s start there. If you’re just focusing on the story mode, I’d say maybe 20, 30 hours. But it really obviously depends on how the player actually engages with the game. It depends on if you really want to go out of your way to collect equipment or just push through the story. If you get to a point where you’re kind of not trying to collect everything, but trying to collect enough equipment, I think it could go upwards of 100 hours maybe. Someone who’s maybe very, very adept at action games, it might be a little bit shorter. But for a standard player, I think maybe it could range anywhere from 40-100 hours, really depending on how much equipment and collection you want to do.

There’s also the aspect of cooperative multiplayer and competitive multiplayer, so I think it’s a game that really accommodates the player’s lifestyle and the way they want to play. If players want to play through the story they can do they, or if they want to collect a bit more equipment they can play cooperatively. Then with all of that gathered equipment they can then go into competitive play if they want. So it really is adaptable and suits the player’s needs.

And there’s also many characters that appear as NPCs in the story, and when you’re going into battle alone, you can opt to have them help you out. And you can have three characters help you out in battle. So another aspect is kind of going around and befriending and collecting other characters to fight with you. They are all very unique, and I will let everybody play the game and find out what I mean by that.”
