[Let’s Talk] Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom impressions

The moment many Nintendo fans had been waiting for finally happened this week – we’re of course referring to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom launching. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: this is a huge release for Switch and one of the most notable titles of 2023 for gaming in general. It’s been six years since Nintendo came out with Breath of the Wild – the series’ most successful entry – so it’s understandable how much anticipation there’s been behind it.
Although it’s not been terribly long since Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom arrived given how it just came out yesterday, many of you likely have been sinking your teeth into it by this point. With that in mind, we’re interested in your early impressions. If you picked up the game, how are you feeling about it so far? How do you think it compares to Breath of the Wild? Since the Splatfest started, been grinding Splatoon 3 for shells to the capsule machine. Team Power is going strong by showing promise in both premier and halftime reports. The Triforce Tricolor battle is fun with the even playing field and raised center.
Recently got my copy of Zelda BotW + DLC from Japan. I shared a file when I originally played the game, so I didn’t see everything. After all this time I have yet to know the story or layout around Vah Ruta. I’m going to be playing it again before touching TotK.

Trying to finish my replay of TPHD before TotK comes out lol

I’ve recently finish Assassin’s Creed 2 Discovery and Sonic Classic Collection on the DS.
I’ve been working through Skyward Sword HD (almost done now, 30h in) in preparation for TotK. I’ll also play BotW’s DLCs before that. But I do have the time because the Brazilian release date is 2 weeks after everyone else’s.
And when Ido have time, but my wife is playing Mario Odyssey, I visit Hogwarts for a bit 🙂
