Shigeru Miyamoto has been asked about the Wii’s successor over the past few days due to a ton of speculation about Project Cafe. Yesterday, he said that “it’s a matter of when we announce it” and that we should “be patient.”
Miyamoto was once again asked if there is any truth to the recent Wii 2 rumors in an interview with Dutch website Sp!ts. While he didn’t reveal anything specifically, Miyamoto did indicate that it is a logical step for Nintendo to move on to HD since a large percentage of households have an HD television, and echoed previous statements by the company that the console will offer something totally different.
