Did you know that if you participated in our Extra Life 2013 livestream charity event, you may have been entered to win some fabulous prizes? Anyone who correctly answered a question in Jeopardy or who donated money received some number of raffle tickets which were used in a drawing for some digital download games and a few physical prizes that we’ll send out to you. The winners of those prizes are below, but first, the rules:
1) You have to be in North America to be eligible for game codes.
2) You must be in the lower 48 United States to be eligible for physical prizes.
Each prize has three winners: The primary winner gets the prize unless they don’t qualify, in which case it goes to the first backup winner, and if they aren’t eligible, the second backup. Please contact us via [email protected] with your name and what you won if your name is listed below at all, even if you’re the runner-up or third-back-up winner since we’ll need a way to contact you directly. This is how we’ll work out shipping details or code exchanging.
Hit the break for the winners.
Shin’en casually announced FAST Racing Neo a few weeks ago. Soon after, the game dropped off the radar.
Neo’s announcement came without any sort of information or media. This begs the question: when will we actually see something pertaining to the game?
Unfortunately, Shin’en intends to keep us waiting a bit longer. The studio will be sharing content starting next year.
Shin’en’s Manfred Linzner told Pretendo:
In 2014. We currently optimize the local multiplayer part and it seems as we can go far beyond what we have done previously.

Aonuma started out by officially confirming that A Link Between Worlds’ Miiverse community will go live once the 3DS system update launches next month. He also spoke about one of the title’s mini-games and Hint Ghosts.

Rare was originally developing Dinosaur Planet for the N64. However, the project was cancelled, and ultimately saw a complete transformation. The final game ended up as Star Fox Adventures for the GameCube.
Former Rare staffer Phil Tossell spoke about what the studio initially had in store for Dinosaur Planet while speaking with Retro Gamer this month. Tossell revealed that the project “was supposed to be a hybrid of Diddy Kong Racing and an adventure game.”
“Actually, it was supposed to be a hybrid of Diddy Kong Racing and an adventure game. Every level would have some kind of track in it and a race as part of the story. It took a while to settle down…”
One reason why Dinosaur Planet turned into a Star Fox title was because of Shigeru Miyamoto’s feeling that some of the characters between the two were similar in appearance. To say the least, Rare welcomed the opportunity to work on one of Nintendo’s legendary franchises.
“It seemed like a no-brainer. They’re offering this great character from this great franchise! I was attached to Dinosaur Planet but I love the original Star Fox. Our only concerns were how we could fit it into this game we have.”
