This information comes from Capcom Europe COO David Reeves…
“I think down the road, you could probably see a Monster Hunter iteration somewhere. Probably on both of them (3DS and Vita).”
Monster Hunter Portable 3rd has shown that the series can be successful on portables. Actually, that game might be the most successful release in the series. With Portable 3rd doing well Monster Hunter Tri exceeding expectations in west Monster Hunter on 3DS would seem like a good fit.

Have you heard about El Shaddai? If not, perhaps this will get your attention: the game was led by Okami and Devil May Cry character designer Takeyasu Sawaki.
El Shaddai is already available in Japan and will soon be available in North America. What’s next for the franchise? Ignition’s Shane Bettenhausen believes that Wii U could see a spin-off/port to Wii U.
“I think first we’ll probably do more of spin-offs… whether that’s DLC, I think it might be cool to port this to Wii U or Vita maybe.”
