Three new Virtual Console games are on track for the Japanese Wii U eShop next week. Tactics Ogre (Super Famicom), Volleyball (Famicom), and Bonk’s Revenge (PC Engine) will be out on March 12. Pricing is set at 800 yen, 500 yen, and 600 yen respectively.
Several months following the game’s launch, Call of Duty: Ghosts players on Wii U can finally pick up a piece of DLC.
“Free Fall”, an extra map offered to users on other platforms as a pre-order bonus, can now be downloaded from the eShop. Activision made the DLC available to Call of Duty: Ghosts owners on other consoles as well today.
Free Fall is completely free to download. If you have the game, you have nothing to lose by downloading it!
Veteran Nintendo producer Kensuke Tanabe and Retro Studios CEO Michael Kelbaugh have both weighed in on why the Big N is against putting its games on mobile devices.
Tanane told GameSpot that translating the controls available with traditional games is “a really, really difficult task.” Also, when all is said and done, “I want Nintendo games to be played on Nintendo hardware,” he stated.

Japan: Okiraku Fishing 3D hitting the 3DS eShop, Okiraku Tennis SP hitting the Wii U eShop next week
Arc System Works is releasing two more eShop games in Japan next week. Okiraku Fishing 3D will be available for 3DS while Okiraku Tennis SP is coming to Wii U. Both are expected on March 12.
Club Nintendo has restocked the Zelda: A Link Between Worlds poster set. You can place an order here. To do so, you’ll need to fork over 500 coins.
Remember Saturnine Games’ Turtle Tale? We heard about the 2D platformer nearly a year ago, but there hasn’t been much news since.
However, Saturnine recently confirmed to NintendoWorldReport that the game is launching on the eShop sometime this spring. The studio has shared a few new screenshots as well – check them out in the gallery above.
Update: The game in question is likely Akiba’s Trip 2. Taking the first letter of each word forms “Electric Town”, which is where the game takes place. Looks like this one won’t be for a Nintendo platform sadly.
Original: XSEED is up to something on Twitter. Earlier today, the company posted a message teasing a new announcement of some sort.

Arkedo co-founder Aurelien Regard is currently working on “The Next Penelope”. It’s a retro racing title that seems to take inspiration from the likes of F-Zero.
The Next Penelope is being built with the Construct 2 engine, which the Wii U supports. Wouldn’t that make it a perfect fit for the eShop? At the very least, Regard appears to be interested…
@GoNintendoTweet Hi GoNintendo! Thanks for your message! :)
I'm talking with other studios about the WiiU port. I'm trying to find a way!
