Super Neptunia RPG has received a new batch of details covering skills and abilities. We’ve rounded up the information below, courtesy of Gematsu.

Skills

– These are are attack techniques that can be used by characters for each formation
– Use skills by equipping items that grant skills or learning a skill itself
– By equipping an item that grants a skill, you will be able to use that skill
– The more you battle and win, the more experience points that equipped item will gain
– When you meet a certain value, you will be able to learn that skill and set it without having the item equipped
– Skills granted by the “Wooden Sword” include Area Edge, Mytra, Drain Edge
– Area Edge: Deals physical damage to all enemies
– Mytra: Deals unattributed magic damage to all enemies
– Drain Edge: Deals physical damage to one enemies and recovers five percent of maximum HP

Skill Set

– In order to use skills in battle, it is necessary to set them in advance
– The skills you can set vary depending on the formation
– (1) Selected Character (the character whose skills you wish to modify): You can switch between characters with the L1 and R1 buttons
– (2) Formation
– (3) Skills set for the chosen character
– (4) Skills that can be used in each formation
– (5) Skill details
– The skills that can be set for each formation have already been decided
– Skills for Strike Formation, Magic Formation, Heal Formation, Support Formation, and Mix Formation

Abilities

– Use these to power-up and support characters
– Abilities are attached to equipment (weapons, armor, and accessories), and can be set by mastering that equipment or learning the ability
– HP Bonus: Increases maximum HP by 10 percent
– Darkness Prevention: Prevents darkness (which lowers your accuracy rate)
– Auto-Wall: Produces a wall at the start of battle (increases defense against physical attacks)

Ability Set

– Spend “Ability Points” to set abilities
– Ability Points will return to you when you remove an ability
– Ability Points will increase as you level up
– By equipping an item that grants an ability, you can set that ability
– The more you battle and win, the more experience points that equipped item will gain
– When you meet a certain value, you will be able to learn that ability and set it without having the item equipped
