The latest Nintendo Switch eShop charts for the week of January 3, 2026 are now available.
We have a different #1 again, which is Super Mario Party Jamboree. The game likely received a renewed push as a good game for the holidays. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was on top last week, but moves down to #2.

Nintendo has not one, but two games in the top five here. Mario Kart World sits in second while Mario Kart 8 Deluxe moves up one spot to #5.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond had been holding on strong for several weeks, but has finally dropped, landing at #5. And an old favorite has returned to #1 – that’s Donkey Kong Bananza, which may have received a holiday boost.

As we wrap up 2025, Nintendo has posted new data that reveals Japan’s best-selling digital games on Switch 2 and Switch for the year.
On Nintendo Switch 2, Mario Kart World comes out on top as most would probably expect. Pokemon Legends: Z-A does have a strong showing though in second – plus it’s #1 on the Switch 1 list.

Mario Kart World managed to hit #1 again last week, and while it’s still towards the top, it slipped a spot. Pokemon Legends: Z-A, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Donkey Kong Bananza are also in the top ten.

New data provided by Famitsu gives us a look at Japan’s best-selling games of November 2025.
The month had some big releases, including Dragon Quest 1 & 2 HD-2D Remake and Kirby Air Riders. The former sold nearly 300,000 copies while the latter debuted at close to 250,000 units sold at retail.
