Dreamfall Chapters’ PS4 exclusivity is timed, Red Thead will be open to ports

Red Thread Games announced PlayStation 4 exclusivity for its new game Dreamfall Chapters earlier this week. But as it turns out, the exclusivity is actually timed – meaning the game could head to other platforms in the future.
Red Thread wrote on Twitter:
.@DukeMagnem @JoeOfTheSith #PS4 gets #Dreamfall #Chapters first. After that we're open to porting to any & all platforms if we can afford it

What exactly this means for Wii U is unclear. Red Thead recently suggested that they’d like to consider a different game for Nintendo’s console other than Dreamfall Chapters that would fit the platform better. Although, during Dreamfall Chapters’ early days, Wii U was looking like a serious option. So who knows!

Dreamfall Chapters won’t be coming to Wii U – or Xbox for that matter. Sony has secured the game as an exclusive title for the PlayStation 4, meaning all other platforms have been ruled out for release.
