Fishing Star: World Tour

At Anime Expo 2019, Aksys Games announced that it would publish a physical version of Fishing Star: World Tour. The company has now followed up and confirmed today that stores will carry the game on September 26.

Following its release on the Switch eShop, WFS has announced a physical version for Fishing Star: World Tour. Aksys Games will publish the game at retail in North America and Europe later this year. Pricing is set at 39.99.

Fishing Star: World Tour is appearing on the Switch eShop on Wednesday, complete with Nintendo Labo support. Check out some footage below.

Although it was hinted at previously, we can officially say that Fishing Star: World Tour is coming west. The Toy-Con Fishing Rod-supported title be out in the same day as Japan – January 31.

Fishing Star: World Tour will support English, so a worldwide release is expected for this one.

Early last year, we learned that Fishing Star, which is originally a mobile game, is getting an updated release on Nintendo Switch. Today, the latest issue of Famitsu revealed that the game will be called Fishing Star: World Tour. It’ll contain over 180 species of fish, over 40 different fishing locations and over 70 pieces of fishing gear and equipment. The most noteworthy piece of information about this game, however, is that it’ll support the fishing rod Toy-Con that’s part of the Nintendo Labo Variety Kit, something developer GREE hinted at last year. 

Fishing Star: World Tour is set for a digital release on the Japanese eShop on January 31. No word yet on a Western release date.
